The Position: The Parks and Recreation Department's core function is to ensure healthy places and actives that foster community engagement and active lifestyles. • Coordinates transportation needs for schools and special events, coordinates transit activities with other divisions and agencies, and performs customer relations tasks, including answering questions and issuing passes.
• Develops and implements goals, objectives, policies and priorities for the Transit Division, ensures compliance with established policies and procedures, and works with local businesses to promote transit services.

STEP #4: ORAL BOARD INTERVIEW

• This is a panel interview. Candidates will be asked five to eight questions. Pass Point is 70% or higher. Results are valid for three years.

STEP #5: BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION PROCESS

• Eligible candidates will complete a Personal History Statement (PHS) packet. Background investigators will then be assigned to assist candidates through the process. Upon successful completion and review of the background investigation, the hiring board will make their employment selections. Those selected will receive a conditional offer of employment, contingent upon successfully passing a medical and psychological exam.

STEP #6: THE SAN JOSE POLICE ACADEMY
