This is an exciting opportunity under the Technical Infrastructure Division in the Information Technology Department (ITD). The Technical Infrastructure Division designs and engineers solutions that address and meet the City's strategies built around Smart City initiatives, such as Digital Inclusion and Digital Equity, Public Wi-Fi expansion for Economic Development, Endpoint Modernization and virtualization, Multi-cloud frameworks, and digital analytics to support data-driven decisions. The Technical Infrastructure Division includes citywide wired and wireless network infrastructure, core server infrastructure, public and private cloud infrastructure, and hyper-converged infrastructure. Salary Information: The actual salary shall be determined by the final candidate's qualifications and experience. In addition to the starting salary, employees in the Enterprise Information Technology Engineer (EITE) I/II shall also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay.

Salary Range including the 5% non-pensionable increase:

• Enterprise Information Technology Engineer I: $121,583.28 - $147,944.16 annually
• Enterprise Information Technology Engineer II: $128,812.32 - $156,942.24 annually

Therapeutic Recreation/ Old Meadows- Serving youth, teens and young adults with physical and intellectual disabilities

Part-Time position: up to 26 hours/week (may include evening/weekend hours)

Hourly Rate: $20.30-$24.67

Summary:
Under general supervision, coordinates, conducts and participates in the delivery of recreational program activities and executes day-to-day operations in assigned units according to established programs, schedules and standards; and performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversees and supervises the use and care of equipment, supplies, materials and facilities; assists in initiating equipment procurement and maintenance; manages forms related to facilities and equipment use.
• Supervises special events, field trips and other group activities; ensures safety of environment and equipment for participants.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience: 
A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: graduation from high school or GED program, and at least 1,500 hours of relevant work experience, with at least 30 units completed in recreation or a related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must be at least 18 years old.

Language Ability:
Ability to communicate effectively in English in both written and oral form. Ability to write routine correspondence using correct spelling and grammar.

Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Certificates and Licenses:

Under supervision, a Police Cadet is a non-sworn, part-time classification that assists police personnel in a variety of operations in order to gain practical knowledge of law enforcement. They will obtain practical work experience that supports their career goals.

Employees in this classification may receive training and experience in each of the below duties.

CLASS CHARACTERISITICS:

Incumbents in this position are interested in law enforcement (and the Union City Police Department will provide the opportunity to learn various aspects of police work where they can integrate academic philosophies with practical experience. • Observing and reporting hazardous conditions such as missing traffic signals, signs, and street markings that need to be repainted.

• Transporting vehicles and equipment to repair shop.
• Arranging for tows.
• Entering and maintaining vehicle inventory/status log.
• Coordinating service, oil changes, and cleaning of vehicles.

Afterschool program site leads work in the formal Suisun City classification of Recreation Specialist II. Starting hourly rate will depend on qualifications. This position works on average 19 hours per week.

The department: The Recreation, Parks and Marina Department is responsible for the operations and programs of the Suisun City Marina, the Senior Center and the Joseph A. Nelson Center, including preschool, after-school programs at various sites, recreation classes and sports leagues, community events and special event rentals.

The Position:  Responsible for maintaining the coordination, implementation, and administration of designated after school program. The specific duties of the After School Program Site Lead include program and curriculum development and implementation, budget management, staff management, participation and coordination of staff development, and general oversight of the designated after school program. The position will provide a safe, nurturing, and well-supervised after school program; act as a liaison between the program and parents, stakeholders, school administration, and school district staff to provide for a collaborative, positive, beneficial program. The Department: The Suisun City Police Department is a progressive and proactive law enforcement agency. As a result of its proximity to neighboring jurisdictions, the employees of the Suisun City Police Department remain extremely busy as they address the needs of the community. This vital position will also involve engaging the public and stakeholder organizations, participating in advisory committees and work groups, and representing the County before all levels of governing bodies to create a comprehensive coastside emergency preparedness and response program for San Mateo County.

• Coach and support supervisors and managers in employee learning, talent development, and performance management.
• Develop strategies for leadership transitions and work with departments to identify and develop employees for future leadership positions.

• Drive the development and enhancement of risk management strategies, policies, and OH&S programs to minimize financial exposure and foster a safe workplace.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to proactively manage and reduce risk.

About The Position

This includes developing emergency notification and communication standards, protocols, and processes; managing vendor services and contracts; coordinating system access and training for authorized users; and initiating plans to integrate the County's program and system with the emergency functions of other government agencies, including Integrated Public Alert and Warning System and reversed 9-1-1.

Additionally, the Alert and Warning Coordinator will assist the County in identifying areas at risk for hazards and threats to the communication system, provide community education, and determine how to integrate community alert and warning systems with other technologies. The selected candidate will handle a variety of tasks to ensure the County's preparedness for any event, including participating in a weekly on-call rotation, maintaining 24-hour readiness, and responding to the field or Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during emergencies or disasters.

This crucial role will also require engaging with the public and stakeholder organizations, participating in advisory committees and work groups, and representing the County at all levels of government to develop a comprehensive emergency alert and warning program for the County of San Mateo.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Strong knowledge of IPAWS protocols.
• Familiarity with local state and federal regulations.
• The ability to understand the current use of technology in emergency response and implement these technologies at DEM.
• Excellent written communication skills, including experience in proposal, report, and grant writing.
• The ability to engage with the public and stakeholder organizations to identify and develop effective outreach strategies and create a holistic Alert and Warning program for the County.
• Proficiency in computer skills and operating standard computer applications, including but not limited to word processing, spreadsheet software, PowerPoint, and email communication.

This position is responsible for performing a variety of duties requiring both sound judgment and analytical skills. Knowledge and experience with Public Records Act requests, claims investigations, information technology systems, human resources, and budget are desired. The successful candidate will also have strong writing, communication, supervisory, and interpersonal skills.
