The City of Menlo Park is currently accepting applications for a Gymnastics Instructor at The Arrillaga Gymnastics Center. This position is part-time and provides a flexible work schedule, which is great for applicants that are still in school. We are looking for multiple candidates that enjoy teaching preschool and school aged children developmental gymnastics. Our center is open Monday through Friday 9am-12pm, 1pm-8pm, and Saturdays 9am-5pm. Monday through Saturday hours are available.
Candidates are not required to have prior gymnastics experience, all candidates are welcome. We provide training to give you the tools to succeed.
Essential job Functions
The job functions of a gymnastics instructor would include organizing, supervising, instructing, interacting, and organizing games/activities for the children to participate in. Applicants are responsible for maintaining safety and cleanliness throughout the facility. They should be aware of their schedule and communicate with their supervisor accordingly.
The ideal candidate would possess quality customer service skills, positive energy, passion to work with school-aged children, and a strong worth ethic. Also, they must be able to instruct preschool and school aged children with a motivating and passionate attitude. Candidate must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects, including children, up to 30 pounds.
These are non-benefited temporary positions. A temporary employee may not work more than 1000 hours per year and will receive sick leave in accordance with State Law.
