The City of Berkeley invites you to apply for the position of Aquatics Specialist I in the Parks, Recreation and Waterfront Department! In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide instruction in swim and serve as a lifeguard at assigned swimming facilities. You'll teach lower swim levels and perform customer service functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A typical way of gaining the knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position is: Equivalent to graduation from high school or current enrollment in an institution working toward a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Must be 15 years of age. Must possess and maintain a current American Red Cross Lifeguard training certificate, and current American Red Cross CPR for professional rescuer certificate or equivalent.
