Description

The City of Fremont's Police Department is hiring for the position of Senior Office Specialist. There are two vacancies: one vacancy resides in the Animal Services Division and the second vacancy resides in the Business Services Division.
 

The first review deadline has been extended to January 21, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. (PST).  Interested candidates are encouraged to apply early. An application must be submitted for each position of interest.

The Business Services Division

The mission of the Business Services Division is to ensure effective and efficient management of the Police Department's public revenue, financial resources, and supplies in order to support public safety through law enforcement. Related to this mission are three goals: to ensure our employees have the best possible tools we can afford to perform their duties in serving our community; to assist the Chief in ensuring that the department operates within its annually appropriated resources; and to support the Police Department in achieving its annual performance measures and goals through fiscal management.

Business Services acts as a liaison to the City of Fremont Finance, Accounting, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Revenue and Human Resources, as well as to Alameda County for our grant programs.

The Animal Services Division

The Animal Services Division is responsible for reports of stray, injured, and abandoned animals; investigating animal cruelty and neglect; and providing support for issues including community cats and animal noise complaints. Officers are dispatched to respond to loose animals in traffic; investigate animal bites to humans; deceased animals; and dangerous animals that pose a threat to public safety.

Tri City Animal Shelter and Fremont Animal Services’ mission is to promote and support keeping people with their pets by offering services and resources with respect, kindness, and compassion and to provide safe shelter and care for animals lost from their homes or in need of finding a new home. Our programs and services protect the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the Tri-City area, providing a benefit to all citizens regardless of race, age, or economic status.
