THE POSITION
Under supervision of the Public Works Manager, the Maintenance Worker I performs entry level unskilled, semi-skilled, or skilled labor in construction, maintenance, and related service activities applied to the areas of general landscaping, grounds maintenance and street maintenance.
TYPICAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The City of Brisbane will be sponsoring up to four summer internships this year. Our internships are project-oriented and designed to give college students a good general overview of future employment opportunities and current issues in the Public Sector. Senior Maintenance Worker (20499612)
The City of Sunnyvale’s Department of Public Works is recruiting for two Senior Maintenance Worker positions within the Street Operations division. One Senior Maintenance Worker position will be assigned to the pavement team responsible for maintenance, repair, sweeping and cleaning of City streets, curbs, gutters, and similar right-of-way infrastructure.
Hours: Casual non-benefited employees are limited to working no more than twenty-five (25) hours per week and no more than 900 hours in a fiscal year (July 1-June 30). Varying shifts are available including Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
