THE POSITION

Reporting to the Director of Administrative Services, the Management Analyst (Risk Management) provides professional support to risk management programs including: workers' compensation, safety compliance, review and approval of contracts and Certificates of Insurance, risk transfer, and leave and disability administration. 

In addition, you will have the opportunity to coordinate and oversee workers' compensation claims administration including monitoring accepted claims and providing information to claimants, attorneys, and the workers' compensation carrier. You will also serve as a consultant to City departments and employees on Risk Management (workers' compensation, safety, contract insurance) problems and communicate regularly with internal and external parties to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of assigned programs and activities, minimize risk, and advise of claim developments. • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, staff, parents, and community representatives.
• Ability to work independently in carrying out a comprehensive program.
• Willingness to support and carry out the goals and objectives of the Child Care program.

Education and/or Experience:

• AA Degree or 60 units, with 24 ECE units plus 6 administrative units and 2 adult supervision units and one (1) year working in a preschool program, AND/OR
• Site Supervisor Permit

Special Requirements:

• Must be willing to work the hours required for the assigned Center.
• Possession of California Driver’s License preferred.
