The role involves managing the Airport's campus-wide, on-site data centers and all Main Distribution Frames (MDFs), Intermediate Distribution Frames (IDFs), and Minimum Points of Entry (MPOEs). Additionally, the position encompasses management for infrastructure improvements, including capacity planning, design, and project management for networking, power, space, and HVAC in the IT physical environments as well as the inside/outside cable plant. As SJC continues to evolve and grow, attracting more passengers and airlines, the selected candidate will act as a subject matter expert and liaison to SJC divisions, airlines, and tenants for MAC (Moves, Adds, Changes) requests, requirement analysis, RFP/Q review, and new construction projects as required. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, planning, and management of the campus-wide cable plant and IT physical infrastructure to support the Airport improvements, airlines, and tenants, addressing both current & future needs.
• Provide a comprehensive understanding of technology offerings, implementation constraints, and costing. Ability to propose technology recommendations and solutions by providing a solid and complete justification for each solution.
• Assess the voice and data needs of the Airport, develop Airport technical standards, determine where the cable infrastructure should be installed, and oversee the installation.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert and liaison to Airport divisions, airlines, and tenants for requests, requirements, RFP/Qs, and new construction projects as required.

Highly Desirable Qualifications:

• Possess a BICSI RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification.
• Be an Outside/Inside Plant specialist. Airport experience preferred.
• Ability to determine the scope, cost, and time for existing and new OSP/ISP projects that are moderate to complex in a matrix environment.
• Outside/Inside plant construction and project management experience and inventory management experience.
• Familiarity with data center industry standards, building codes, and safety standards.
• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of fiber optic engineering principles with OSP job-related functional areas to include general best practices, procedures, and industry standards.
• 5 years or more experiences working in mission critical environments (e.g., airports, utilities, telecommunications carriers, etc.) requiring coordination across multi-disciplines for delivering a common goal.
• 5+ years mission critical Data Center operations experience.

Salary Information:

The Associate Electrical Engineer will support the 24 x 7 continuous Water Utility raw, treated, and purified water operations, capital improvement projects, annual maintenance work plan, and asset management plans. The Department: 

The Water and Sewer Utilities Department is a utility enterprise that provides planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operation of the City's water distribution system, sewer collection system, and recycled water system. The Position: 

The Utility Crew Supervisor is a lead supervisory classification in the Water and Sewer Utility Department. An incumbent in this classification is responsible for performing the most difficult and responsible technical duties and supervising the work of an assigned crew in a specialty area such as water construction and maintenance, water meter testing and maintenance, and sewer system maintenance. The Utility Crew Supervisor is distinguished from the Assistant Water Superintendent in that the latter is responsible for overseeing a Program in the Water Construction, Maintenance, and Operations Division.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum Education Requirements: 

Graduation from high school or possession of a GED.

Minimum Experience Requirements: 

Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in construction, maintenance, or operations with a public or private water or sewer utility organization.

License/Certifications: 

• A valid Water Distribution System Operator Certificate (Grade D-2 or above) issued by the California Department of Health Services is required at time of application and for the duration of employment.
• A valid California Class C driver's license is required at time of appointment and for the duration of employment.

The following are required when assigned to the water construction and maintenance or sewer system maintenance specialties:

• A valid California Class A or B Commercial driver's license is required at time of application and for the duration of employment.
• A valid Collection System Maintenance Certificate (Grade 2 or above) issued by the California Water Environment Association is required within twelve (12) months of appointment and for the duration of employment.

The following is required when assigned to the water meter testing and maintenance specialty:

• A valid Backflow Prevention Tester Certificate issued by the California-Nevada Section of the American Water Works Association or the Foundation for Cross Connection Control and Hydraulic Research is required within twelve (12) months of appointment and for the duration of employment.

Desirable Qualifications: 

Depending on position assignment, qualifying experience may be required in one of the following specialty areas: water construction and maintenance, water meter testing and maintenance, or sewer system maintenance. 

Other Requirements:  

• May be required to work unusual hours in emergency situations and to be available on an "on-call" basis as assigned.
• May be subject to drug and/or alcohol testing as mandated by federal regulations.
• Must be able to perform all of the essential functions of the job assignment.

The Sr. Information Systems Analyst is responsible for advanced networking and server virtualization in both our Corporate and Scada (Industrial) networks. They are expected to have advanced analytical/problem solving skills, perform highly complex configurations, extensive experience in advanced networking/server deployments, IT SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), Cybersecurity experience, SaaS deployments, and PaaS deployments. They should also have extensive experience with maintain highly complex environments in a variety of infrastructures.
 
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Test, implement, and maintain highly complex configurations/gear for core network switches, routers, firewalls, PaaS, and monitoring devices.
• Test, implement, and maintain highly complex configurations/gear for virtualized, physical servers, and SaaS environments.
• Perform Monitoring of advanced Networking and Server based devices, evaluate IT/OT SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), cybersecurity concerns, perform critical vulnerability patching, maintaining our systems to avoid impacting operational uptime, and perform security upgrades.
• Perform research into new highly complex technologies to increase the organization’s efficiency and effectiveness including POCs of these technologies.
