The Finance Department is recruiting for the position of Accounting Technician (Electronic Payments Technician)

The Position:
This is a journey level accounting technical class and has the ability to perform the full range of duties assigned, with only occasional instruction or assistance as unique situations arise. Employees at this level are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies within the work unit and receive general supervision from an assigned supervisor or manager. Positions in this class may exercise technical and functional supervision over assigned staff.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Performs specialized technical and highly detailed work in the preparation, reviewing and processing of financial bank statements and other related documents.
• Assists in providing instruction to other department employees regarding specialized procedures and requirements.
• Administer the Citywide electronic payments program and assist with processing web payments.
• Preparing staff reports and other communication related adoption and implementation of new payment methods.
• Reviews various documents and reports related to area of assignment for accuracy, completeness and compliance with departmental policies, laws and other regulations.
• Prepare monthly spreadsheet of credit card/merchant services transactions and request journals to charge respective departments.
• Calculates and reconciles special assessments.
• Provides information to City employees and others that requires the use of judgment and the interpretation of policies, laws, rules and procedures related to area of assignment.
• Monitors, review and reconcile electronic banking systems (Bank of America, CashPro, Check 21) and internet payment processors/gateways across the City’s enterprise system platforms.
• Reviews and reconciles electronic payment activity with bank statements, the City’s financial management system and credit card transactions related to payments and disputes.
• Coordinates billing processes with other departments and acts as the department contact for credit card machine.
• Resolving technical challenges among the various system components (payment platform, gateway, bank, enterprise system vendors, City IT systems).
• Sets up and monitors accounting ledgers related to area of assignment.
• Reviews and corrects project accounting time sheets and error reports.
• Adjusts journal entries to properly record financial transactions.
• Ensures data integrity of ledger related reports.
• Maintains City investment and debt service portfolios including receipts and statements, broker confirmations, account analysis statements and interest payments.
• Builds and maintains positive working relationships with co-workers, other City employees and the public, using good principles of customer service.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is currently hiring to fill one full-time vacancy for the position of Peer Support Specialist I/II (PSS) within the Adult Outpatient (AOP) Department. The PSS position provides peer to peer support services in the office and/or in the field including, but not limited to outreach, support, encouragement, guidance, advocacy, and referrals to external resources and services for clients and their families; builds rapport with clients and their families through sharing stories of lived experience and recovery.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Encourages and supports clients to fully engage in services; provides outreach and assists clients in addressing and overcoming barriers to treatment.

• Provides resources and referrals to address basic needs and other barriers to wellness and recovery including food, housing, clothing, transportation, and other financial resources.

• Assists clients with setting, implementing, and tracking wellness and recovery goals; develops individual Wellness and Recovery Action Plans (WRAP); models and shares effective coping strategies.

• Assists clients and families to understand behavioral health problems and steps to recovery.

• Provides support and guidance in navigating systems and obtaining additional support services; attends meetings and therapy sessions with clients (as needed); assists with completing applications and forms; and ensures client concerns are address and processes understood.

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is looking for to fill one (1) vacancy for the Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) for the FSP C/TAY Department. The BHS will provides a variety of rehabilitative support services to clients to
facilitate behavior modification, skill building, and self-care and safety in individual and/or group settings. 

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Provides individual, group, family, and collateral rehabilitative support services to facilitate behavior modification including skill building, needs assessment, self-care/safety, and coping strategies and techniques; may provide case management services in the office and in the field.

• Develops, monitors, and evaluates client rehabilitative and case management goals and increases/decreases in targeted behavior according to client needs; monitors goal progress/regression.

• Provides individual, group, and family interventions, rehabilitation, and treatment services including counseling, therapy, case management, and referral and linkage to community services to a variety of clients including high acuity clients.

• Within scope of authority, assesses, diagnoses, and treats a variety of clients with mental health disorders; collaborates with clients and creates individualized treatments plans according to client’s needs and circumstances.

• Initiates and conducts individual, group, and family counseling and biopsychosocial therapy sessions utilizing a variety of techniques and modalities; provides case management services in the office and in the field.

• Performs routine and emergency intake evaluations according to Authority procedure;
  completes appropriate forms and documents relating to the intake process; and prepares medical and demographic case history for use in diagnosis.

• Assists clients and family members in understanding behavioral health diagnosis, contributing factors/causes, effects, prognosis, rehabilitation, and treatment.

• Works with clients to address stressors and barriers to treatment and/or social functioning; identifies and focuses on client strengths and personal resources to effectively engage and treat client.

We are currently looking for a Clinical Therapist I or II to work on our MHSSA Grant Team within Tri-City's Child & Family Clinic. This position will be a part of a 3 year - federally funded MHSSA Grant Team that is scheduled to end in December 2026. The team is being formed to foster stronger school-community mental health partnerships that can leverage resources to help students succeed.  The Clinical Therapist I/II position will report to a Clinical Supervisor and will work on a multidisciplinary team consisting of other Clinical Therapists and Behavioral Health Specialists in partnership with the school and families.

These positions are responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Work directly with or work with staff who work directly with at high-risk youth, foster youth, youth who identify as LGBTQ+, and youth who have been suspended or expelled from school and their families to provide culturally inclusive and relevant mental health services such as early intervention, suicide prevention, drop-out prevention, evidence based mental health practices and the development and coordination of service plans to address ongoing needs;

• Provides individual, group, and family interventions, rehabilitation, and treatment services including counseling, therapy, case management, and referral and linkage to community services to a variety of clients including high acuity clients.

• Within scope of authority, assesses, diagnoses, and treats a variety of clients with mental health disorders; collaborates with clients and creates individualized treatments plans according to client’s needs and circumstances.

An example of the various duties include but are not limited to:

• Performs a variety of office support duties related to the assigned work unit; gathers information from a variety of sources, including data systems & clients for the completion & processing of forms, records, & other documents. 

• Receives & screens visitors, provides general information to clients, visitors, vendors, & staff, in-person and on the telephone; assists clients by referring them to sources of information, hands out standard forms & explains how to complete them.

• Receives and responds to enquiries; provides information and answers questions; addresses requestor’s issues or concerns and/or directs them to appropriate information sources; makes appointments and maintains calendars.
