DESCRIPTION
The City of Thousand Oaks is in search of the next member of our growing HR team! We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and strategic Associate HR Analyst – Talent Development Specialist to support the Human Resources Department's talent development initiatives! This position will develop and conduct professional development training curriculum, and programs to improve individual skills and organizational performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Contribute to the design, development, implementation, evaluation and continuity of talent development programs and initiatives
Assess the best learning methods for a diverse range of learning needs, including in-person/virtual instructor-led trainings (ILTs) and e-learning videos
Collaborate with key stakeholders to evaluate and understand training needs, recommend, and develop solutions
Create engaging training materials, curriculum, workshops and presentations; deploy a combination of purchased and custom content (develop scripts, film and edit content)
Facilitate trainings and discussion sessions
Increase organization utilization and integration of the employee Learning Management System (Cornerstone)
Participate in the development and strategy for leadership transitions and work with departments to identify and develop employees for future leadership positions
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to ensure training initiatives are effective and engaging
Evaluate the impact of learning initiatives; gather feedback and make improvements; create reports and analytics
Perform system administrator tasks, including assigning and tracking trainings, updating data, and supporting users
