• Places stencils over old street markings, start compressor and spray inside stencils.
• Cleans and maintains spray equipment, including stencil truck; place and pick up traffic cones during the operation of the striping machine.

DEFINITION

Develop, organize, and implement delivery of recreation and social services to the citizens of Danville in accordance with program objectives set forth by the Recreation, Arts and Community Services Department. Perform professional duties in Community Centers, Village Theatre and Art Gallery, and/or Teen Centers, as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Specific to Sports & Fitness and Facility Management

Responsible for the development and implementation of sports programming, including aquatics, and organizing a variety of recreational sports leagues for youth and adults.  Work closely with the school district.  Supervises seasonal Aquatics program to include staff training and in-services. Requires a basic understanding of sports terminology, concepts, and rules. Responsible for sports & fitness fee classes offered in the Danville Activity Guide.  Support facility management through facility rentals.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Principles and practices of recreation programming.
• Human development as it relates to planning recreation and leisure programs and activities for the public.

Possession of a valid California State Driver's License, or license in another state with the ability to obtain a California license within 30 days of hire. First Aid and CPR certification is required but may be obtained during probationary period.

Reporting to the Director of Administrative Services, the Management Analyst (Risk Management) provides professional support to risk management programs including: workers' compensation, safety compliance, review and approval of contracts and Certificates of Insurance, risk transfer, and leave and disability administration.

Employment Standards

• Principles, practices, techniques and methods of planning, developing and administering training and employee development programs;
• Public sector employee relations, typical provisions of collective bargaining agreements and public employee labor laws, current labor relations practices, trends and major problems in the public sector;
• Techniques for investigating, analyzing, and resolving employee grievances;
• Applicable FTA regulations and guidelines relating to employment;

Recreation Coordinator I/II

What you’ll do:

-Oversee a variety of recreation areas which may include, but not limited to, programming, facility use and rentals.

-Coordinate community special events and implement new community support resources

-Work in a high energy fast-paced team environment
