StopWaste is hiring an Energy Council Program Services Specialist to work on Bay Area Regional Energy Network (BayREN) programs. The position will conduct community outreach and engage with stakeholders to make energy upgrades and electrify multifamily and single family buildings in Alameda County and the larger Bay Area. It will also work on growing and strengthening the clean energy workforce to help achieve energy and climate goals. The ideal candidate will have deep experience engaging and developing relationships with community partners.

The successful applicant will work on a part time basis with a schedule which will include evening and weekend hours, depending upon programs, rentals and events.
DEFINITION
Provide analytical, coordination and operational support within the Development Services Department; primarily responsible for transportation planning functions. Provides secondary support to economic development and special events programs.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Receives direction from the Transportation Manager. May exercise supervision over technical and/or support staff as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Essential duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Under general or direct supervision at the lower level and under direction at the higher level, incumbents perform varied professional technical, analytical, and administrative tasks in providing staff support to departments and divisions to; perform contract administration functions; compile and maintain records; conduct special studies, surveys, and research assignments in a variety of project, program, service, and/or operational procedures; and, to perform related work as required.
