Salary range for this classification is:

Under general supervision of the Senior Automotive Equipment Specialist, typical duties of the Communications Installer include installing 2-way radios into a variety of vehicles, including but not limited to Police vehicles and motorcycles, Fire department apparatus and other city department vehicles.

Installations are to be industry accepted best practices including the selection of proper wire sizing based on electrical loading, equipment placement with emphasis on serviceability, proper wire routing, proper power distribution, antenna placement, and grounding/power return.

The Communications Installer will also be responsible for the installation of intercom systems, emergency/warning lighting, vehicle electronics, computer equipment and terminals, antennas, and custom installations of non-standard equipment. This equipment is commonly used in emergency vehicles and municipal equipment.

About the Communication Division

The Communications Division implements environmental-specific media, outreach, and marketing activities to support the health of our community and environment. The communication services division includes strategic communications planning, multi-cultural community engagement, media relations, social media, collateral development, and website management.The Environmental Service Department is recruiting for a Senior Public Information Representative within the department's Communications Division. This position plays a key role in the department's recycling and sustainability programs. This staff supports the Public Information Manager and supervises three staff members.

Aligning with ESD's mission, the Senior Public Information Representative helps develop and implement a range of communications strategies for projects and initiatives focused on enhancing the quality of life and environment for San José residents and businesses.

The City of Patterson is seeking to fill one (1) part-time vacancy for a Facility Attendant in the Recreation Department and to establish an eligibility list.

Duties include, but are not limited to: under direct supervision, performs a variety of facility related tasks to ensure effective operations at the Recreation and Community Services Complex and related facilities and parks. StopWaste is hiring an Energy Council Program Services Specialist to work on Bay Area Regional Energy Network (BayREN) programs. The position will conduct community outreach and engage with stakeholders to make energy upgrades and electrify multifamily and single family buildings in Alameda County and the larger Bay Area. It will also work on growing and strengthening the clean energy workforce to help achieve energy and climate goals. The City of Thousand Oaks is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to join our team!

We are seeking a collaborative and results-oriented Purchasing Supervisor with excellent communication, strong technical experience, and effective leadership skills to join our Finance Department team. The Purchasing Supervisor manages the Purchasing and Municipal Services Center (MSC) warehouse functions for the City. The ideal Purchasing Supervisor candidate is a flexible and enthusiastic individual who can develop, mentor, and build relationships with team members and across the various departments they serve. The Purchasing Supervisor guides a team of six staff members located at three different City facilities.

The Purchasing Supervisor provides technical support, information, and assistance for purchasing materials, supplies, and services to all City Departments. The successful candidate will interpret, explain, and diplomatically enforce compliance with City procurement policies and procedures and all Federal and State rules and regulations. This position works closely with the Public Works Department and the Finance Department’s Accounting and Information Technology Divisions. Primary Responsibilities:

• Administers formal and informal bidding and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes; assists departments with preparation and review of RFP and bid documents; ensures development of a competitive product specification; ensures all federal, state, and local laws are met; evaluates bids against specifications and per City code, laws, and established policy.
• Oversees and administers the City’s Cal Card Program; opens and closes accounts; conducts training sessions for new cardholders; monitors payments of invoices and types of purchases; audits cardholder statements; reviews vendor activity reports quarterly to determine if better pricing could be obtained through competitive bidding; prepares reports for Finance Director regarding card use.
• Oversees, monitors, and utilizes the purchasing website to solicit bids and review vendor activity; evaluates the vendor list to ensure integrity and accuracy of list; ensures all active vendors are registered; maintains solicitation to keep all data current.
• Oversees and manages vendor information and payment system entry including W9 processes and procedures.
• Oversees the activities for the MSC warehouse including the effective management of inventory and annual inventory count process.
• Maintains and updates a variety of manuals including purchasing manual and Cal Card administrative manual.
• Maintains current knowledge of new trends and innovations in the fields of purchasing and inventory management; attends and participates in professional group meetings; participates in professional development activities.
