Organized into operational teams, Project Hope staff are assigned to specific neighborhoods, where they assist residents to address the conditions and circumstances that exist due to systemic racism such as crime/violence, blight, lack of trust, marginalization, and inadequate services. Supervising Park Ranger Position & Duties:

License or Certificates:

When only assigned to recreation duties, the following is required and must be maintained during the course of employment.

THE POSITION

The City of Rocklin is looking for two Maintenance Workers to assist in the Parks Division of the Parks and Recreation Department. The Maintenance Worker is a temporary position and incumbents work on an as-needed basis, not to exceed 28 hours per week and up to 999 hours per fiscal year. The Department of Transportation (DOT) is seeking to fill 16 full-time Maintenance Assistant positions.

The Infrastructure Maintenance Division of DOT is looking to fill 16 full-time vacant positions. These positions perform work in the maintenance and repair of concrete, pavement, sewers, landscaping, traffic signs, and traffic markings. Duties include digging holes, trenches, and ditches. They also operate a wide range of hand, mechanical, and power tools, as well as a variety of light and heavy vehicles, trucks, and equipment relevant to work performed, ensuring compliance with safe working practices. Maintenance crews provide services seven days a week. Any combination of experience and education equivalent to that which would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be:

Experience: One year of post-doctoral experience in the practice of counseling and/or clinical psychology.

Education: A Doctorate degree from an accredited or approved college or university in psychology, educational psychology, or related field

LICENSE: Possession of a license to practice as a Psychologist from the California Board of Psychology  - OR – a   license to practice as a Psychologist as issued by any other state in the United States of America, provided that the licensee applies for and receives a licensure from the California Board of Psychology within six months of appointment to the position – OR – a license to practice as a Psychoanalyst or Research Psychoanalyst issued by the Medical Board of California- AND - a valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.

The examination process will result in a ranked eligible register of candidates for hiring consideration by the department derived from any of the exam processes mentioned above.  Actual hire depends on success in the departmental selection process.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must pass a background investigation/sanction screening to the satisfaction of the Hayward Police Department prior to a permanent job offer.

Essential duties require the mental and/or physical ability to: work in a standard office environment and use standard office equipment and current software; to grasp, perform repetitive hand movements and fine coordination to prepare documents and data using a computer keyboard and mouse/trackball; sit for prolonged periods of time; walk, stand, crouch, reach, twist, turn, kneel, bend, squat, stoop and safely lift and move equipment and materials weighing up to 35 pounds; converse by telephone, by email, in person, and to small or large groups and be clearly understood; read and comprehend legal, technical and complex documents; interact with the public and all different levels of City staff in an effective and professional manner; and safely drive to various locations throughout the City and County to travel to fulfill assigned duties. Essential functions must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

 Candidates under final consideration for employment with the City should expect to undergo an employment background/reference check that may include, but is not limited to: employment history, confirmation of educational credentials and degrees, licenses including driver's license, registrations, certificates, and other credentials as part of the appointment process.
