The County of Yuba is recruiting for both Extra-Help and Full-Time Juvenile Corrections Officers I/II,  in an effort to fill current vacancies and establish an eligibility list. These positions are located on the Tri-County Youth Rehabilitation Campus which falls under the Juvenile Institutions Division of the Yuba County Probation Department. The primary responsibilities of this flexibly staffed position are to: provide care, custody, supervision, and control of youth housed in the secured detention facilities while they are pending legal action or serving a post adjudication commitment; ensure and sustain a safe and secure environment for youth; and coordinate counseling and behavior modification activities associated with the operation of the facilities.

About Detention Services & Yuba County:

Our Department believes people can change and we can be instrumental in supporting that change.  We are  a small workplace family that supports one another to accomplish our mission and allow our team members to live full lives outside the workplace. Our Campus provides youth detention services to the communities of Yuba, Sutter, and Colusa Counties as well as several contract counties through our Camp Singer program.  We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, and includes the Tri-County Juvenile Hall, Secure Housing Unit, and Maxine Singer Youth Guidance Center (Camp Singer), under a Joint Powers Agreement between the three counties. Our Department is the administrative agency responsible for the management and daily operation of the facility. The shared goal of facility staff is to provide youth with support and tools that will assist them with successfully reintegrating back into the community.  Staff are provided with state mandated relevant training, which includes youth trauma; crisis management; cultural competence; mental health awareness; sexual abuse and harassment; and proper use of force.

The City of Marysville is seeking qualified candidates for the position of a Human Resources Manager, Assistant to the City Manager and City Clerk; this recruitment will fill 1 vacancy and create an eligible list.  

This recruitment will encompass three (3) different positions with the City of Marysville (Human Resources Manager (HR), Assistant to the City Manager (ACM) and City Clerk (CC); due to this caveat this classification specification will list duties and responsibilities for the three (3) positions.
The Human Resource Manager will conduct, lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. ACM - To perform a variety of administrative and managerial responsibilities in the conduct and management of the activities of preparing City Council agendas, minutes, and Council packets, as well as responding to Public Records request and maintaining all official City records. CC- The City Clerk shall perform those duties set out in the City of Marysville Charter and ordinances, as well as is prescribed by State and other law. The City Clerk shall also perform other duties incident to these laws, including staff support to the City Council approximately two times per month, as well as the Oversight Board and Levee Commission on an as need basis.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED

HR - Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department. Oversees the daily workflow of the department. Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations. Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy. ACM - Reports to and receives general direction from the City Manager. May exercise direct supervision over clerical staff.

About the Position:

The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for a Fiscal Analyst within the Finance and Administrative Division of the Community Development & Services Agency. Under general supervision, this position performs a variety of difficult and complex professional level analytical work to support the operations of County departments, agencies and programs in areas such as the development and administration of the annual budget, financial/fiscal analysis and reporting, grant monitoring and administration; and performs other duties as assigned.  This is the journey level classification in the professional Analyst series.

The City Manager is the administrative head of the government of the City. Under the direction and control of the City Council, the City Manager is responsible for ensuring that the policy directions set forth by the City Council are carried out and the day-to-day operations of the City government run smoothly.

POSITION

To perform a variety of tasks in the maintenance of City-owned buildings, equipment and facilities.  The purpose of this recruitment is to fill a current temporary/part-time vacancy in our Community Services Department and to create a list for future vacancies.

Candidates who do not currently meet the minimum qualifications for the Facilities Maintenance Worker I position may be considered for an Intern position instead.

Temporary employees work no more than 130 hours per month and 960 hours per fiscal year.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The Ideal Candidate for this position will have previous facility maintenance experience, although not required. The Ideal Candidate will be able to follow directions, demonstrate good communication skills (orally and in writing), be flexible, have good attendance, a positive attitude and a willingness to take on new tasks as requested.  The ability to speak and understand Spanish is a desirable quality.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

A primary function of this position is janitorial services. Will include set up and cleanup of special events. Prepare simple activity and related reports; maintain inventory and work records as required. Perform other facility maintenance duties as assigned. Work cooperatively with others. Regular and consistent attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS
Facility Maintenance Worker I

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Six (6) months of work experience in carpentry, electrical and maintenance work is desirable.

$21.12 - $26.96 per hour

Intern:                                                            
$16.50 - $20.50 per hour

WORK HOURS
Position works approximately 16-20 hours per week in the afternoons and evenings, and will require some weekend hours.

The Senior Manager, Quantitative Analysis and Modeling is responsible for organizing, assigning, reviewing and participating in the work of personnel engaged in professional duties related to analysis and modeling, structured product development, portfolio risk management, and integrated resource planning. Duties include:

• Planning, prioritizing, reviewing and participating in the performance of professional analysis and modeling of risk and value around complex transactions and portfolio positions, including structured products, rate analysis and development, and hedging strategies.
• Developing methods and schedules to accomplish assignments, ensuring work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Developing pricing and calibration models for a variety of products.
• Solving challenging quantitative problems related to setting rates and valuations for structured products.

Qualified candidates will possess a knowledge of California energy industry and electric power markets including CAISO, CPUC, CEC, and CARB, energy/financial markets and quantitative investment approaches, advanced computer modeling of power supply system operation and cost analysis and have the ability to perform complex professional analytical work in support of a variety of Pioneer’s product structuring and resource planning activities.

The City of Lincoln is accepting applications for the position of Refuse Truck Driver II in the Solid Waste division of the Public Works department. Under general supervision, this position performs the full array of duties in the Solid Waste division, including maintenance, operating collection vehicles and refuse equipment operation. This job classification is represented by the Classified, Local 39 employee group; the probation period is 12 months.

Open positions may be filled as regular/full-time or seasonal/part-time.  Seasonal positions are limited to 999 hours per fiscal year and are unbenefited, and may become regular/full-time positions, dependent upon the future needs of the department.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

The Refuse Truck Driver II is the journey-level class responsible for a wide variety of maintenance and refuse collection tasks. This classification is distinguished from the next higher classification of Senior Refuse Truck Driver in that the latter performs the more complex assignments and lead responsibilities. 

SUPERVISION RECEIVED/EXERCISED

This position receives general supervision from the Solid Waste division’s Public Services Supervisor. May exercise technical and functional supervision over assigned staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Include but are not limited to the following:

• Performs general maintenance, repair, construction, equipment operation and installation work in refuse collection.
• Operates a variety of collection vehicles and equipment including front, rear and side loaders in the collection and transportation of residential and commercial refuse; drives to landfill site when vehicle is full and unloads material; evaluates and updates assigned routes; cleans, maintains and inspects assigned vehicles; maintains daily logs.
• Demonstrates a full understanding of applicable policies, procedures and work methods associated with assigned duties; may provide training to lower level staff; responds to questions and concerns from the general public; provides information as is appropriate and resolves public service complaints.
• Establishes positive working relationships with representatives of community organizations, state/local agencies, City management and staff, and the public.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS

Position requires sitting, standing, walking on level and slippery surfaces, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, grasping and making repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties. The position also requires both near and far vision when inspecting work and operating assigned equipment. The need to lift, carry and push tools, equipment and supplies weighing 25 pounds or more is also required. Additionally, the incumbent in this outdoor position works in all weather conditions including wet, hot and cold. The incumbent may use cleaning and lubricating chemicals, pesticides or herbicides which may expose the employee to fumes, dust and air contaminants. The nature of the work also requires the incumbent to climb ladders, use power and noise producing tools and equipment, operate hydraulic aerial devices, drive motorized vehicles and heavy equipment, work in heavy vehicle traffic conditions and often work with constant interruptions.

KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILLS
