Under general supervision of the Inspection and Neighborhood Preservation Manager, the Neighborhood Preservation Officer seeks public compliance with Municipal Code sections, ordinances, and resolutions in such areas as planning, zoning, signs, community nuisance, business license, and related areas; and performs other duties as assigned. The incumbent will have a broad range of knowledge and independence within general parameters in the application of field investigations, evidence collection and violation resolution in the enforcement of municipal regulatory processes.

Examples of Duties Include:

• Investigates reported violations of municipal codes, ordinances, and resolutions
• Seeks abatement of violations through education and voluntary compliance or through direct enforcement activities including the issuance of infraction citations
• Educates the public regarding requirements
• Conducts field inspections to verify violations; and gathers supporting evidence
• Prepares reports regarding violations
• Prepares and gives presentations for Administrative Hearings, Planning Commission, City Council or courts of law
• Utilizes personal computers to perform word processing, spreadsheet, and specialized functions

Program Overview:

The Child Welfare Mental Health (CWMH) team serves children ages 6-17 years old and their families who have a voluntary or court-ordered open case with Children and Family Services (CFS). For all CFS referred youth, we administer the CANS, among other assessment tools. We interview the children, caregivers, and any relevant parties as part of this assessment process. Based on these assessments, we provide various therapeutic services (e.g., individual therapy, family therapy, dyadic therapy, psychiatric evaluations, etc.). We work in conjunction with pediatric nurses, doctors, and psychiatrists. When appropriate or upon CFS case closure, CWMH therapist transfers mental health services to other BHRS programs or to our network of community-based agencies/providers.

Position Description:

We are hiring a Bilingual Spanish-speaking clinician to provide assessments, brief crisis/stabilization, therapy, case management services, and treatment summaries to the court for children aged 6-17 years old. The ideal candidate will provide trauma-informed child abuse treatment and work closely with the foster care system.

Our clinicians carry an outpatient caseload and services are community-based. We can conduct therapy at our BHRS therapy offices, but mostly conduct therapy off-site (e.g., at the child’s school, homes, etc) based on what is convenient for the child/family. So, having a car to travel within San Mateo County is necessary to the work. It is important to note that for work-related travel, the candidate can choose to use county cars or if they decide to drive their vehicle, they can also get mileage reimbursement.

We serve residents of San Mateo County who are often of racial/ethnic minorities and low-income status. Our team consists of master’s level clinicians (licensed and unlicensed). Therapists have weekly individual supervision and a weekly clinical staff meeting where cases are discussed. There are ongoing training opportunities to learn skills in a wide variety of modalities (e.g., Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused CBT, DBT, NMT, etc.). The work that this team does is critical for the health and well-being of many children and youth in San Mateo County. Although the work often comes with the challenges connected to trauma, it also provides a rich and rewarding experience.

A Dance Instructor (Program Specialist) will plan, prepare and instruct recreation activities. Activities may include art, cooking, dance, pre-school program and other program areas. Programs are designed for children ages 4-17 (primarily 5-12) years of age.

Dance programs may include ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, ballroom, folkloric, salsa, and rhythmic international styles.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES (These duties are a general description and are not all inclusive.)

• Develop and submit lesson plans including class content and material needs.
• Lead organized activities to develop and strengthen youth academic, recreational, and social skills.
• Plan lessons and activities so they are appropriate to students with various abilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age
• Different program areas will have different skills and knowledge requirements for the position; check with Recreation Supervisor. (For example: 6 ECE unites required for pre-school instructor)
• One school year teaching experience
• At least one year's experience working with children in an academic setting
• Must be willing and able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required

REQUIREMENTS FOR EMPLOYMENT

• Must be able to handle sensitive and/or stressful situations or information with tact, discretion and significant awareness of confidentiality
• Must effectively communicate with adults and children from a variety of cultural backgrounds

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for an individual to serve as a Clinical Therapist I/II for the Adult Full-Service Partnership (FSP). The Clinical Therapist I/II will appeal to individuals who are inspired by challenges and opportunities presented in working with an engaged and active community with moderate to severe behavioral health clients. The City of Sausalito Police Department is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Police Community Service and Evidence Technician. This vital role supports our mission to maintain public safety and maintaining evidence, as well as enforcement of parking rules and regulations

This is a journey-level non-sworn classification in the Police Department that performs the full range of duties related property and evidence as well as assists the patrol officers with minor evidence collection, reporting writing and responding to related calls for service as needed to effectively provide police services. Incumbents are expected to work independently and exercise judgment and initiative.

The City of Patterson is seeking to fill one (1) part-time vacancy for a Facility Attendant in the Recreation Department and to establish an eligibility list.

Duties include, but are not limited to: under direct supervision, performs a variety of facility related tasks to ensure effective operations at the Recreation and Community Services Complex and related facilities and parks. Prepares facilities for use; works with users during events; provides set-up and arrangements for classes, meetings, and public and private events; registers participants for recreational programs; assists with cleaning and maintaining of Community Services' facilities including removing and disposing of trash, sweeping, and mopping of floors.  Provides staff support for recreation events and programs. 

This is a part-time position with hours up to 19 hours per week.  Must be available to work nights and weekends with varying shifts and schedules.
