THE POSITION
The Dixon Police Department is opening two positions for a Police Recruit to attend the Police Academy in July of 2024. The “Police Recruit” classification at the City of Dixon Police Department provides a unique opportunity for candidates to be sponsored through a P.O.S.T. certified basic academy during regular academy hours and any other scheduled departmental and academy exercise and activities. Upon successfully completing the academy, Police Recruits shall be advanced to Police Officers and immediately begin the field training program to prepare them to function as solo officers.
The City of Woodland Police Department is looking for candidates who possess a current California POST Basic Academy Certificate or are currently enrolled in a California POST basic police academy. Police Officer positions with the City of Woodland are filled from an eligibility list. *$97,208.92 - $124,065.91 Advertised salary range includes 17.5% of Incentive Pay. Employees may be eligible for incentive pay as follows:
Education Incentive Pay up to 10% described below:
POST Intermediate Certificate: 2.5% of base salary
And/or
POST Advanced Certificate: 2.5% of base salary
And/or
Completion of 60 college semester units or AA/AS degree: 2.5%
And/or
Completion of 120 college semester units or BA/BS degree: 2.5%
Bilingual Pay: 2.5% of base salary
