Water Resources Mechanics perform a wide range of tasks involving mechanical maintenance and repairs of pumps, plumbing systems, electric motors, compressors, piping, boilers, underground infrastructure, facilities and buildings, carpentry, HVAC systems, mechanical drives, gear boxes, blowers, collectors, belt filter presses, and chemical feed systems. The work is done at the Water Reclamation Plant, located at 101 West Jack London Boulevard in Livermore.

A Water Resources Mechanic I performs a range of tasks requiring journey level mechanical ability and aptitude. Work assignments are performed according to established rules and procedures. Independent judgment is required and is supported at regular intervals by supervisory review and direction. A Water Resources Mechanic II is distinguished from the WR Mechanic I by the possession of advanced journey level mechanical ability and aptitude and is responsible for solving more difficult technical problems.

The Staff Services Manager within the Community Action Department performs general administrative, personnel, staff development, fiscal, program and data processing system analysis; and decision making in financial, personnel, and other administrative systems of average to difficult complexity. The position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.
 

JOB DUTIES

• Plans, prioritizes, assigns, supervises, and review the work of staff involved; provides or coordinates staff training and development. Participates in the selections of staff; works with employees to correct deficiencies; implements discipline procedures.

The County of Yuba is currently accepting applications to establish an eligibility list for the flexibly staffed position of Elections Clerk I-II in the Elections Division within the Clerk-Recorder’s Office for both Extra Help and Full Time positions. This position reports directly to the Registrar of Voters Manager. This class is flexibly staffed, and incumbents may advance to the II-level after gaining experience, demonstrating proficiency, and meeting the qualifications. Under general supervision, lead and conduct activities in the delivery of recreation program areas for the preschool program.

The Recreation Leader classification is distinguished from the Recreation Aide level in the complexity of duties assigned, independence of action taken, the amount of time spent performing the duties, the nature of the public contact made, and its training responsibilities of new staff. Positions at this level are required to be fully trained in all procedures related to assigned area of responsibility.

Work Schedule:
A typical work schedule is Monday - Friday 11:30 am - 3:00 pm - school days only; summer and school holidays off.
