The City of Dixon is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Recreation Supervisor. The Recreation Supervisor is responsible for planning and organizing recreation programs. This classification is a first line supervisor who schedules, trains, assigns, and evaluates subordinate employees.

Exam Process: A limited number of candidates whose applications indicate that they, among those competing, are better qualified in terms of related education, training and experience may participate in an online exam and an interview process (weighted 100%). The most qualified candidates from this process will be placed on an employment eligibility list. The Position: 

The City of Santa Clara Water and Sewer department has an opportunity for a position of As Needed Engineering Aide. Job responsibilities include, prepares scaled and dimensioned plans based on sketches prepared by engineering personnel, maintains records of as-builts and updates existing Utility maps and records utilizing ESRI-based GIS applications, Maintains master map files, including such records of block maps, sewer and water infrastructure maps, and other maps, Performs computing and drafting operations in AutoCAD, involved in checking drawings of utility facilities, perform other duties as assigned.

As an as-needed employee, this is an "at-will" position and there is no guarantee of hours. Hours are limited to 999 in a fiscal year or 960 hours in a fiscal year for retired CalPERS annuitants.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum Education Requirements: 

Graduation from an accredited college with an Associate of Arts degree or higher in engineering, computer information systems, or its equivalent, including satisfactory completion of college level courses in writing, mathematics, engineering and related courses.

Minimum Experience Requirements: 

One (1) year working with geographic information system (GIS) tools and systems and/or

One (1) year working with computer-aided drafting (AUTOCAD).

License/Certifications: 

None

Desirable Qualifications: 

Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), and/or Database Management Systems.

• Routine to moderately complex tasks to assist/support the Water and Sewer department in data collection, maintenance, and updates.
• Assisting the Engineering department in managing and maintaining As-Builts and ensuring they are reflected across all relevant repositories.
• Assisting the Business Systems Manager in maintaining, managing and updating GIS, Lucity, and other business systems.

• Water and sewer utility operations, maintenance methods, principles, equipment, scheduling and planning
• Principles, procedures, practices, and techniques associated with data management
• Deal tactfully and courteously with others

The City of Belmont is currently recruiting for a Building Inspector I/II (level appointed will depend on qualifications) in the Community Development Department - Permit Center. We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and customer-oriented individual who will receive direction from the Cheif Building Official.

The Building Inspector I/II performs building, plumbing, electrical and mechanical inspections for the City enforcing all applicable laws and codes; performs plan checks on residential, commercial and industrial buildings; issues building permits; and performs a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.

Compensation

Building Inspector I salary range: Step 1 $7,869.28 - Step 6 $9,565.16

Building Inspector II salary range: Step 1 $8,347.13 - Step 6 $10,145.99

3% salary increase July 1, 2024

Building Inspector I/II

• Perform building inspections of existing and new structures for all local and state building requirements; investigate code related citizen complaints and building code violations
• Review plans and specifications for minor building permits; discuss code and project related questions; provide guidance to citizens; address and resolve concerns and complaints
• Check plans, specifications and calculations of proposed structures within the City for code compliance.

Qualifications

Knowledge of -

• Possession of a valid International Code Council Permit Technician certificate

• Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by specialized training in
  carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC trades, or a related field

• Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid International Code Council Combination Building Inspector certificate in both the residential and commercial classification

The City of Patterson is seeking to fill one (1) part-time Recreation Specialist position in the Recreation Department for their sports program and to establish an eligibility list.  Duties include, but are not limited to: implement a wide range of programs that foster community development that include youth/adult sports, special events, open gym, and youth development activities.  This position will require assistance of general office duties and may include supervision of volunteers and staff, and performs related duties as assigned.

This position is established for 19 hours a week, but will vary depending on programming needs, and will be working weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays.

The City of Patterson is seeking to fill one (1) part-time Recreation Leader position in the Recreation Department for their Senior Program and to establish an eligibility list.  Duties include, but are not limited to: under supervision, works with staff to provide programs and activities for Seniors; organizes and teaches participants games and activities such as dance, music, arts & crafts, etc. and with assistance, coordinate, schedule, and plan the programs; ensures participant safety and well being during all activities; ensures the proper handling of first aid and emergency situations.

THE POSITION

Under direction of the City Engineer or Assistant City Engineer, a Senior Civil Engineer supervises field and office work in the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of public infrastructure; manages land development processes; manages and performs engineering analysis; implements programs and administers projects; may supervise a major section in the Engineering Division; and performs other duties as assigned. The Senior Civil Engineer performs and supervises the most complex engineering assignments.

This Senior Civil Engineer position will manage capital projects and may also oversee some development projects.  Examples of projects include:

• Arroyo Trail T 13, 1.5 miles paved trail through Wente Vineyard and LARPD Sycamore Grove properties and includes a 100’ pedestrian bridge.
• Arroyo Las Positas Creek channel widening, flood walls and Airway Blvd Culvert Replacement adjacent to Las Positas Golf course and Livermore Municipal Airport.
• Bridge Preventive Maintenance Program for 19 city bridges
• Manage other city asset programs such as pavement rehabilitation, sidewalk, ADA ramps.
