The City of Auburn is looking for an Administrative Services Technician, a unique role where you'll contribute equally to our Finance and Human Resources departments!

ABOUT THE POSITION

We're seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable professional to make an immediate impact. Your time will be split equally between the two departments, with a primary focus on payroll processing. Beyond that, this role offers a variety of technical and paraprofessional work, including accounts payable and receivable, accounting, cash handling, budget, benefits administration, recruitment, customer service and other essential technical-level functions.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

A paraprofessional classification requiring specialized administrative and technical skills to perform semi-complex, administrative, support and confidential duties. The role is distinguished from lower classifications by its scope of work and requirements for specialized training and technical proficiency. This classification performs recurring tasks and solves problems independently under general supervision from the department director or assigned supervisor, and does not exercise supervision over staff.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

The following duties are typical for this classification. Actual work may vary based on department needs or change due to evolving business practices.

• Perform  a varied range of administrative, operational and technical tasks supporting assigned programs and functions.
• Maintain accurate financial, human resources, and administrative records and data within various computer systems, including data entry, report generation, and resolving discrepancies.
• Participate in the implementation and testing of new technology systems and process improvements.
• Handle inquiries, provide information, offer technical information and guidance on procedures, rules and regulations to internal and external customers.
• Provide administrative support to department management and staff, including research, processing, and preparing reports, correspondence, and written materials.
• Maintain professional and courteous interactions with all contacts.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Finance Duties:

• Participate in core finance processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, license and permit fee collection, and general financial transaction processing.
• Process and record financial transactions related to payroll and benefits, prepare related tax forms (e.g. 1099 and W2), and fee/levy data for tax rolls.
• Assist with budget preparation and monitoring, financial reporting, external auditor inquiries, and the review/approval of purchase requisitions.
• Participate in the implementation and adherence to Government Accounting Standards Board requirements and statements.
• Maintain financial and accounting records and data within systems, reconcile accounts, identify and resolve discrepancies, and prepare related reports.

Human Resources Duties:

• Participate in various functions supporting payroll, recruitment, benefits administration, leaves and other human resources functions.
• Participate in processing payroll including changes to wages, positions, benefits, leaves of absence, and related.
• Assist with benefits administration including processing forms, enrollments and changes, assisting employees, and responding to vendor inquiries.
• Intake and assist with worker’s compensation and insurance claim documentation.
• Apply personnel rules, MOUs, and relevant regulations to HR and payroll tasks, and assist with ensuring compliance, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive personnel and management information.

The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of Social Worker Supervisor III in the Child and Adult Protective Services division of the Health and Human Services Department. Under general supervision this position plans, assigns, supervises, trains, reviews and evaluates the work of Social Workers assigned to adult and child protective services; oversees and performs social services case work of a complex and difficult nature in providing a variety of social services to County residents; performs case work of varying scope and complexity and may provide program leadership and consultative services; responsible for program planning and implementation as well as performance of the most complex work and the full range of work supervised on a relief or overflow basis and performs other duties as assigned. This position is the specialized supervisory professional level in the social worker series and reports directly to a Health and Human Services Program Manager.

• Plan, organize, assign, supervise, review and evaluate the work of various levels of professional social work staff in the area of adult and child protective services.
• Provide direction and coaching, through regular feedback sessions; create individual development plans with employees, discuss job performance problems to identify causes and issues, and work on resolving problems; and offer advice and assistance as needed.
• Recommend and administer discipline and implement discipline procedures as needed/directed.
• Recommend selection of staff; provide or coordinate staff training and provide for their professional development.
• Interpret regulations and rules to staff; provide for consistency of staff interpretation and application of such rules and regulations.
• Provide technical assistance to staff regarding difficult case problems.
• Prepare and modifies procedures related to assigned activities; inform staff of such changes.
• Perform the full range of professional work, often in difficult or complex circumstances.
• Interview and counsel a diverse population referred for services; handle the most complex and sensitive child welfare services cases.

ABOUT THE POSITION: Office Assistant I will receive immediate direction from the Senior Administrative Assistant, with additional direction given by the Business Services Supervisor. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in an indoor setting working at a terminal keyboard for extended periods of time with the ability to move. at will to and from various points within the Community Center and Aquatics & Fitness Center. Must have ability to communicate orally with the public either in person or via the telephone. Must have ability to produce information in written form and operate office equipment (Computers, scanners, typewriters, calculators, printers, and copiers). It may be necessary to move objects weighing 20 lbs., such as mail, packages, merchandise inventory etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Education/Training: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade

Experience: One year of experience in the operation of a transit vehicle.

License or Certificate: 

• Possession of an appropriate, valid commercial driver’s license with passenger endorsement.
• Possession of a valid Medical Examination Certification.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain within the initial training period, a Verification of Transit Training certificate.

Position Summary

The Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer plays a key role in providing essential fitness instruction and personalized training programs to help individuals achieve their health and fitness goals. The responsibilities include instructing group fitness classes, offering personal training sessions, designing customized fitness programs for clients, ensuring safe and effective exercises, motivating and encouraging participants, providing feedback and adjustments to exercises, and monitoring clients' progress for continuous improvement. This role will also be providing excellent customer service, addressing fitness-related inquiries, maintaining a positive and motivating environment for everyone, and ensuring the fitness facility is clean, safe, and fully operational. 

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.  

• Certification in personal training or group fitness instruction required (e.g., ACE, NASM, or other recognized certification).  

• At least one year of experience in fitness instruction, personal training, or a related field preferred.  

• Experience in group instruction and one-on-one training is highly desirable. 

Knowledge and Skills

This position requires a knowledge of general fitness principles, exercise techniques, and wellness practices, instructing and motivating individuals or groups in a fitness setting, excellent communication to provide clear instruction and positive feedback and assessing client needs and creating individualized fitness programs. The position also requires ability to operate and maintain fitness equipment safely. 

Special Requirements: 

• Current certification in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). 

• Fitness certifications (e.g., Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor) from a nationally recognized organization.

THE POSITION

As a Nurse Practitioner, you’ll provide comprehensive psychiatric and mental health services, including independent prescribing, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and leadership within a collaborative care team. This position serves individuals and families with complex mental health needs, helping reduce barriers to care through culturally responsive, trauma-informed practice.  This position will report to the Medical Director or a Supervising/Lead Psychiatrist.

Key Responsibilities/Examples of Essential Duties*:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and risk assessments.

• Diagnose and treat mental health disorders using DSM criteria.

• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications independently.

• Deliver individual, group, and/or family therapy and psychoeducation.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers to ensure client-centered care.

• Document services in compliance with HIPAA and HITECH standards.

• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice and licensure.
