About The Position:

The County of Yuba is actively recruiting to fill current vacancies and establish an eligibility list for the position of Deputy Sheriff. Deputy Sheriff’s perform a wide variety of patrol officer and related duties required to effectively respond to and resolve the normal scope of peace situations, including the protection of life and property, enforcement of laws and ordinances, criminal investigation, report writing, crime prevention and suppression, case preparation and testimony, and providing information and assistance to the public and perform related duties as assigned. The Keller Center for Family Violence Intervention is a unique outpatient medical unit affiliated with San Mateo Medical Center Emergency Department. We perform forensic medical exams on victims of assault and abuse and work in a collaborative multidisciplinary team that includes law enforcement, the District Attorney’s office, Child Protective Services, Aging and Adult Services, and several community agencies. We also provide education and serve as a resource for other community hospitals and clinics.

 

The Supervising Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with the Medical Director of Specialty Services and Deputy Director of Ambulatory Nursing in planning, organizing and directing the activities and staff of the Keller Center along with developing standards of practice for forensic exams and reporting. This classification is distinguished from the Nurse Practitioner Series for having full administrative supervisory responsibility over other Nurse Practitioners. The selected individual will spend up to 30% of time in direct patient care at SMMC, which includes performing forensic medical exams for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, elder abuse and child abuse. Testifying in court will be part of the job responsibilities.

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

• At least two years of forensic examination training and experience
• Trauma Informed Care training and experience
• Experience bringing diverse viewpoints and stakeholders together successfully to accomplish goals and commands the trust and respect of others
• Interest in team-based care and creating a positive patient experience, and has demonstrated innovation and initiative in realizing that vision
• Has overseen and led complex projects and coordinated interdisciplinary teams
• Has at least two years of experience in supervising and mentoring others
• At least three years of experience as a Practitioner, and a minimum of six months of lead or supervisory experience overseeing clinical care

 

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification:

• Possession of a California license as a Registered Nurse.
• Possession of a California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) Nurse Practitioner Certification.
• Possession of a California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) Furnishing Number.
• Possession of a DEA Number.

Salary Information: The final candidate's qualifications and experience shall determine the actual salary. Work Environment:  This position is part of Administrative Services at Midpen’s office in Los Altos, California and reports to the IT Program Administrator.  The focus is on in-person support to our internal customers and therefore this position will work fully onsite, Monday through Friday and occasional evenings to support in-person public meetings The selected individual may work a 9/80 schedule depending on staffing levels and operational needs. The ideal Police Lieutenant candidate will possess education, experience, training and perspective to help support the department’s direction and ensure its ongoing success. Minimum qualifications for the position include: 

 

• Possess of, and ability to maintain a valid State of California POST Peace Officer Certification
• Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience as a Police Officer including eighteen (18) months supervisory law enforcement experience as a member of a city police department, a county sheriff’s department, a regional park district, a district authorized by statute to maintain a police department, or the California Highway Patrol; and must have successfully completed the required probationary period for the required supervisory position currently or most recently occupied.

The County of San Mateo Registration and Elections Division of the Office of the Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder and Chief Elections Officer is looking for qualified candidates for the position of Elections Specialist III.

 

This highly specialized position performs varied coordinative technical duties to ensure that County and local, city, and special district elections are conducted efficiently and in accordance with laws and regulations. Successful performance of the work requires the use of independent judgment and initiative along with the skill to follow through on multiple projects and details.

 

Additional skills include expertise working with the community and political groups, exceptional report writing skills, and strong project management skills. Prior experience with elections and basic knowledge of California election laws, regulations, and procedures is strongly preferred.

 

The ideal candidate will be able to "hit the ground running" due to previous or current employment in an Elections Office, providing technical support to the election process.
