About the Position:  The incumbent will join a tight-knit team within Administrative Services. The Procurement team ensures the appropriate stewardship of District funds by facilitating procurement activities in a strategic, collaborative effort to obtain the best value and ensuring compliance with District policy. The Procurement Senior Technician is responsible for reviewing and routing contracts, entering data into Midpen’s enterprise resource planning system (ERP), generating purchase orders, tracking spending, and producing reports. The Senior Procurement Technician works closely with the business functions to conduct sourcing events and is responsible for addressing stakeholder requests. The role also involves aiding departments with purchases by interacting with vendors, supporting price and term negotiations, and administering Midpen’s online solicitations tool. Additional responsibilities include records, and data management, and meeting scheduling.

Work Environment:   This position is part of the Administrative Services organization at Midpen’s office in Los Altos, California and reports to the Procurement Program Manager. Midpen offers a hybrid office/telecommute work schedule for this position, which includes a 9/80 schedule.

The City of Patterson is seeking to fill two (2) part-time Recreation Specialist position in the Recreation Department for their sports program and to establish an eligibility list.  Duties include, but are not limited to: implement a wide range of programs that foster community development that include youth/adult sports, special events, open gym, and youth development activities.  This position will require assistance of general office duties and may include supervision of volunteers and staff, and performs related duties as assigned.

We are currently seeking dedicated and hard-working individuals for temporary, full-time positions to be hired into our Candidate Services Unit. This position encompasses:

Critical Skills include the ability to prioritize work, coordinate several activities organize, and maintain accurate files and records, and understand and carry out oral and written directions. As an Office Assistant it is also integral to have a positive attitude and demonstrate good leadership to assist other members of the team and help ensure day to day operations run smoothly.
 
Office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. These positions may require weekend and evening work assignments. The selected individuals must be available for the entire employment period until the completion of their assignment.

Examples Of Duties

The Elections Specialist II, under general supervision, provides a broad range of office, technical, and specialized support to the election process. This is a great opportunity for an interpersonally effective, innovative, and hard-working individual to contribute to the elections process by:

• Compiling sample ballots, specialized election documents, and similar materials with accuracy, completeness, and correct English usage.
• Schedule and manage teams of personnel for function testing, operating voting equipment, ballot retrieval, couriers.
• Coordinate the deployment and recovery of Vote Centers between Elections units and vendors.
• Train warehouse and field technicians on warehouse safety, secure equipment setup and usage, etc.
• Researching and assembling various election related information.
• Maintaining files, updating databases, and generating reports.

• Providing clear and accurate information regarding elections, voter registration, and related policies to the public.

A Dance Instructor (Program Specialist) will plan, prepare and instruct recreation activities. Activities may include art, cooking, dance, pre-school program and other program areas. Programs are designed for children ages 4-17 (primarily 5-12) years of age.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age
• Different program areas will have different skills and knowledge requirements for the position; check with Recreation Supervisor. (For example: 6 ECE unites required for pre-school instructor)
• One school year teaching experience
• At least one year's experience working with children in an academic setting
• Must be willing and able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required

REQUIREMENTS FOR EMPLOYMENT

• Must be able to handle sensitive and/or stressful situations or information with tact, discretion and significant awareness of confidentiality
• Must effectively communicate with adults and children from a variety of cultural backgrounds
• Willingness to comply with suspected child abuse reporting (11166.5 PC)
• Employees are required to be certified in Adult/Child CPR & First Aid from American Red Cross, American Heart Association or supervisor approved equivalent. Employees must be certified within 30 days of hire date or prior to the first day of work, whichever occurs earlier.
