The City of San Jose is seeking an Enterprise Client Services Manager (Enterprise Supervising Technology Analyst) for the Information Technology Department (ITD). 

The Information Technology Department houses a team of customer-centric technicians and engineers to support the use of technology by City employees and the public. As the Enterprise Client Services Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing and managing that team of engineers and technicians ensuring excellent endpoint management services and day-to-day customer support services. 

The City of San José believes in the model of utilizing technology as a means for increased optimization as well as cost savings. With significant technology refresh and upgrade, there is a greater need for highly skilled technical hands-on leadership, oversight, and project management. 

This position requires strong technical hands-on experience and leadership skills as well as the ability to take initiative and direct others. We are seeking an individual with a willingness to adapt to an ever-changing business as well as an ever-changing technical environment. The ideal candidate must take full ownership of managing all endpoint services and operations and successfully lead projects to completion. This position demands a proven ability to resolve complex technical issues with limited resources. Most importantly, a team leader, team player, and positive attitude are essential to this position.

Key duties may include but are not limited to:

• Managing a Tier-1 helpdesk team to provide excellent customer service requested via online tickets, phone, and walkups.  
• Providing endpoint services management for UCaaS/VoIP, PCs (Windows 10/11 OS), conference rooms, Zoom, etc.
• Designing and overseeing implementation for newly introduced client service project initiatives and ensuring operationalization transitions to the IT Tier-1 support.
• Managing the ticket queues ensuring quality service and promoting fast turnaround time.
• Maintaining and improving the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) based operational standards and services.  
• Overseeing customer hardware/software quoting and purchasing operations.
• Monitoring and providing analysis of reports and metrics to management and customers as needed.
• Coordinating and managing key third-party vendor relationships.
• Creating and managing training and development plans for direct reports. 
• Tracking maintenance renewals and subscriptions for users-owned services, hardware, and/or applications.
• Managing escalations and/or complaints and utilizing best judgment and discretion to resolve them.
• Improving customer service quality results by conducting surveys; evaluating and re-designing processes; establishing and communicating service metrics; and, monitoring and analyzing results.
• Improving productivity, quality, and customer-service standard based on customer services metrics.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for one (1) individual to serve as a Psychiatrist I/II for the Adult Outpatient Clinic. The Enterprise Strategic Support Engineer will be providing hybrid meetings and Council systems strategic support under the Productivity and Collaboration Application Program. The City of San José is recruiting for an IT Support Manager in the Information Technology Department. As a technical manager, this position will be responsible for overseeing infrastructure service and day-to-day operations for the City’s Emergency Operation Center (EOC).

The IT Support Manager supports the essential technologies needed to operate the City’s EOC in disasters, including the core network infrastructure, computing servers, storage, enterprise applications, collaboration tools, Mobile Device Management, Motorola Computer Dispatch workstations, and video and audio systems. The EOC technologies include a multi-layer redundant/backup network connectivity with a localized data center, servers, and storage. This allows the EOC’s technology services available during large-scale emergency events.

The IT Support Manager is a member of the IT Department with a mission to support the EOC. The work plan defines the business requirements with priorities set by the Office of Emergency Management. As a member of the EOC response team, the IT Support Manager will need to be available onsite to support the emergency event. Work hours during an emergency event could be after City’s business hours or on the weekend.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Providing technical leadership for the City’s enterprise infrastructure which includes: network, servers, hyperconverged infrastructure, desktops and mobile devices, Active Directory, VPN, Federation Service, Public/Private Cloud support, enterprise storage, system management and monitor, enterprise system backups and restore, as well as Disaster Recovery of EOC IT services. 
• Performing hands-on system configuration and advanced troubleshooting infrastructure issues to ensure service availability to meet service level expectations. 
• Validating and managing system configuration changes to ensure successful system upgrades and configuration changes to production environment. 
• Developing technical guidelines and governance framework to ensure best practices and security.
• Triaging, leading and resolving advanced infrastructure issues and service outages.

DEFINITION: Under general supervision, provide personal fitness training to clients requesting service; maintain personal schedule at the front desk; enforce all rules and regulations pertaining to the safety and well being of all patrons; keep fitness floor tidy and clean. Perform related work as required, may include light cleaning and janitorial.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

• Train clients safely according to current industry standards and training.
• Offer and conduct free fitness floor orientations to new customers during Fitness Floor shifts.
• Learn basic operation instruction for fitness equipment and teach these techniques to visitors. Provide corrective feedback and proper technique.
• Maintain certain class records and reports as required.
• Ensuring that a safe and healthy environment exists for exercising. Monitor guests’ activities in the fitness center.
• Enforce all rules and regulations.
• Recognize and respond professionally to emergencies, provide care as indicated under the scope of training.
• Assume assigned duties connected with care and maintenance of the facility.
• Provide basic maintenance, equipment care.
• Deal tactfully and courteously with the public.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other city employees, other agencies, and the general public.
• Actively attend and participate in required staff training and in-service drills.
• Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
• The ability to speak English clearly and understandably.
• Perform related duties as required.

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Certified Personal Trainer required. Additionally, combination of education, training, and experience, that provides the required knowledge and abilities.  

PRE-EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS: Candidates receiving a conditional job offer must pass a pre-placement fingerprint review. The employee must satisfactorily complete an evaluation period before obtaining regular status. Candidates must possess a current CPR/AED and First Aid certificate and be comfortable calling 911 in an emergency.
