This recruitment is for Lateral or Academy Graduate candidates only.  To be considered, candidates must meet one of the following requirements.  In addition, candidates must submit proof of certification(s) obtained at the time of application by attaching the applicable certifications to the application.

Lateral Candidates:

• Currently employed, or formerly employed within one-year of date of application, as a Police Officer by a California law enforcement agency, successful completion of a POST approved Field Training Program and possession of a current California POST Basic Certificate. 

Academy Graduate Candidates:

• Possession of a current California POST Waiver certificate, or
• Possession of a current California POST-certified Basic Training Academy graduation certificate, or
• Currently enrolled in a California POST-certified intensive Basic Training Academy or Modular 1 (must complete the Academy prior to start date)
