Description

The San Mateo Police Activities League (PAL) is looking for enthusiastic and energetic individuals to join our team!


About this role
Do you enjoy working in the community? We are looking for positive, enthusiastic, and energetic individuals to join our team! Our ideal candidate will have experience in youth and teen programming and assisting at special events.This is a part time, non-benefited position, 20-40 hours per week and limited to 960 hours in a fiscal year (July-June).

  • You are able to communicate well with your co-workers, supervisors, and Police Officers.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities for youth and teens.
  • Supervise children onsite or on off campus field trips.
  • Provide excellent customer service with written and verbal communication.
  • Interaction with children, parents, and staff.

Recreation Specialist II (ages 18 & up or High School graduate):
In addition to the above duties, ability to work independently in developing specific activities. Ability to train and direct the work of other lower-level Recreation Specialists. Consistently exhibit good judgement and safety skills.
