Description

Experienced and passionate music teachers are needed to teach music lessons to various ages on various instruments. Must be able to teach participants how to play various instruments at various individualized levels.

 

CLASS CHARACTERISTICS:

1-10 hours per week as needed.

Ideal Candidate

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES (illustrative only):.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of music technique
  • Plan and prepare lessons in relation to individual participants' needs
  • Teach music theory, aural skills and practical techniques to participants entering and preparing participants for showcase
  • Acquire appropriate teaching materials and resources
  • Motivate participants and encourage progress
  • Communicate with recreation staff and parents
  • Assess participants' abilities, providing feedback and progress
  • Deliver exceptional customer service

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be 18+ years old.

 

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATES:

Finger printing, current TB Test, CPR, AED, and First Aid Certifications. Experience in teaching various music genres on various instruments to diverse populations.
