Under general supervision, this position performs a variety of tasks in the collection of residential, commercial and industrial solid waste refuse; drive and operate refuse collection vehicles; organize, assign and review the work of others and perform other related duties as required.

Upon successfully completing the academy, Police Recruits shall be advanced to Police Officers and immediately begin the field training program to prepare them to function as solo officers.
