The position of Administrative Analyst is a fully qualified journey-level professional classification. Administrative Analyst is distinguished from Management Analyst in that the Management Analyst has a higher level of managerial, budgetary and program administration responsibility. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, planning, and management of the campus-wide cable plant and IT physical infrastructure to support the Airport improvements, airlines, and tenants, addressing both current & future needs.
• Provide a comprehensive understanding of technology offerings, implementation constraints, and costing. Ability to propose technology recommendations and solutions by providing a solid and complete justification for each solution.
• Assess the voice and data needs of the Airport, develop Airport technical standards, determine where the cable infrastructure should be installed, and oversee the installation.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert and liaison to Airport divisions, airlines, and tenants for requests, requirements, RFP/Qs, and new construction projects as required.
• Manage stakeholder engagement acting as Point of Contact (PoC) for project activities, conducting project reviews, identifying and escalating project issues, briefing on proposed technology, organizing and conducting vendor site visits, and fostering collaborative working relationships.
• Possess a strong understanding of, and working experience with, Project Management practices and tools.
• Ability to understand your audience, negotiate with stakeholders, and clearly understand the requirements and scope.
• Coordinate project schedules, including participation in meetings, documentation, and tracking action items to ensure successful completion.
• Oversee the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract. Participate in the negotiation of contracts & contract changes, review Statements of Work (SOWs)/Work Orders to understand commitment and expectations.
• Data Center Management of the Airport's mission critical on-site Data Centers, Main Distribution Frames (MDFs), Intermediate Distribution Frames (IDFs), and Minimum Points of Entry (MPOEs). Responsibilities include operational and capacity planning, physical security management, and setting policy on best practice use of the facility.

Highly Desirable Qualifications:

 

• Possess a BICSI RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification.
• Be an Outside/Inside Plant specialist. Airport experience preferred.
• Ability to determine the scope, cost, and time for existing and new OSP/ISP projects that are moderate to complex in a matrix environment.
• Outside/Inside plant construction and project management experience and inventory management experience.
• Familiarity with data center industry standards, building codes, and safety standards.
• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of fiber optic engineering principles with OSP job-related functional areas to include general best practices, procedures, and industry standards.
• 5 years or more experiences working in mission critical environments (e.g., airports, utilities, telecommunications carriers, etc.) requiring coordination across multi-disciplines for delivering a common goal.
• 5+ years mission critical Data Center operations experience.
• 5+ years' Telecom industry experience.
• 5+ years' experience with Outside Plant cabling (OSP) & Inside Plant cabling (ISP), structured cabling systems.
• Experience coordinating with GIS teams to ensure as-builts are reflected in existing mapping tools.
• Experience working with GIS teams to document all fiber paths, terminations, and splices for all cabling projects.

Salary Information:
The actual salary shall be determined by the final candidate's qualifications and experience. The below salary ranges include an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable pay.

Salary range for this classification is: $130,515.84 - $159,017.04 annually

Provide complex and advanced technical assistance in support of managing and implementing Valley Water’s cyber security systems on the Enterprise network and SCADA/ Industrial Control System/ Operational Technology network. Monitor cyber security logs, respond to cyber security incidents, plan design, and implement a variety of complex cyber security systems assists with determining hardware and software systems requirements and specifications; performs a variety of complex technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.
 
Serves as the technical lead on the design and implementation of Valley Water’s most complex and highly integrated Cyber Security systems involving new, unfamiliar, or emerging technologies; to perform the most complex professional level duties in the development, installation, coding, integration, documentation, testing, and maintenance of Cyber Security controls and systems; and to perform a variety of tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Cyber Security: monitor and maintain security on infrastructure systems including IT security applications and appliances. Example: Microsoft security patching, updating appliance firmware, maintaining Cyber Security definitions, monitoring Anti-Spam solution, monitoring Cyber Security appliances, and recommending modifications to existing Cyber Security hardware, software, and overall security stance. Manages and monitors vulnerability scanning tools and makes recommendations to remediate identified Cyber Security vulnerabilities. Manages Cyber Security audits and makes recommendations to remediate identified threats.

IT/OT/ICS operational technology: Monitor network and security appliances for security breaches, updating firmware, maintaining security patches keeping security policies up to date, and maintaining documentation.

The Department: The Suisun City Police Department is a progressive and proactive law enforcement agency. As a result of its proximity to neighboring jurisdictions, the employees of the Suisun City Police Department remain extremely busy as they address the needs of the community. The Position: Under supervision (Public Safety Dispatcher I) or general supervision (Public Safety Dispatcher II)  the incumbent performs a variety of duties involved in receiving, evaluating, prioritizing, and relaying calls for emergency and non-emergency public safety assistance; dispatches appropriate units and coordinates response of emergency personnel; maintains, processes, and distributes police records; operates a variety of telecommunications equipment, including radio, telephone, and CAD systems; and performs a wide variety of specialized clerical duties involved in the preparation, maintenance, and release of materials related to law enforcement activities.

 

A Dispatcher II is a civilian employee of the Police Department who performs a variety of tasks in the Department’s Support Services Division. The Dispatcher II acts as the Department’s primary dispatcher, receiving and relaying incoming calls for emergency and non-emergency assistance; dispatching police units; operating a variety of telecommunications equipment including radio, telephone, and computer-aided dispatch systems; status monitoring, records and file maintenance in a computer-aided environment; and entry level dispatch training. A Dispatcher II may be assigned to work various hours, shifts, holidays, weekends and overtime.

Additional duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: prioritize requests for service based upon available resources, receive radio requests and handle accordingly, type, process and file a wide variety of reports and materials including memos, letters, complaints, declarations, warrants, citations, crime and traffic reports.  Assists Department personnel and the public in person and by phone performing record checks, collecting fees and mailing requested reports to outside agencies in accordance with established regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Have a combination of education and work experience, including a minimum of 1 year of dispatch work; general office work involving typing of varied materials, public contact, general filing and basic record keeping; type at least 40 wpm (net).  Have knowledge of business English, spelling; modern office practices and procedures; record keeping. Ability to dispatch police units quickly and effectively; work under pressure; exercise independent judgment; work with minimal supervision; make sound decisions in emergency situations; learn assigned clerical tasks readily and to adhere to prescribed routine; write English legibly; establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public; operate computer-aided dispatch system, 911 emergency telephone, and other multi-line telephone systems, various law enforcement telecommunications systems, radio console with headsets and handsets, computer keyboards, cameras, intercoms, security. • Salary:  $6,538 to $8,468 per month. Placement within the range depends on experience and qualifications.

This is skills-based physical labor work, in all weather conditions, for a person at an intermediate level. The work performed will support MRCA’s operation of nature parks within greater Los Angeles and other MRCA efforts related to public access, open space conservation, habitat restoration, and urban park development.

Supervision

The position reports to the Division Chief. Assorted tasks may be supervised by the Deputy Executive Officer. The position supervises 6-12 other staff.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Schedule and prioritize construction projects.

• Inspect and evaluate projects in the field, troubleshoot problems as needed.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Licenses and Certifications

The City of Berkeley invites you to apply for the position of Public Safety Dispatcher II in the Police Department! In this role, you will perform professional public safety dispatching work including receiving 911 system calls, dispatching assignments, and maintaining records. 

You will use a variety of public safety telephone and radio communications to obtain essential information from reporting parties, respond to inquiries, and determine and dispatch appropriate police and/or fire resources.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A typical way of gaining the knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position is:
Equivalent to graduation from high school AND training or experience as specified below:

• Successful completion of the City's Public Safety Dispatcher Training Program, OR
• The equivalent of two (2) years full-time experience working independently in emergency services or communications with computer use and/or two-way radio operations with a consolidated public safety agency (dispatching police and fire), OR
• The equivalent of three (3) years full-time experience working independently in emergency services or communications with computer use and/or two-way radio operations with a non-consolidated public safety agency and possession of a Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Dispatch certificate. 

Other requirements include:

• Possession of a typing certificate verifying the ability to accurately type a minimum of 35 net words per minute. Certification may be from an online typing test, a recognized business school, or an employment/temporary agency, and must be dated no more than twelve months prior to the date of application. Candidates may be required to take an on-site typing test as part of the selection process. 
• Must be able to pass a medical and psychiatric evaluation.
• Must be willing to work evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Must be able to travel to various locations within and outside the City of Berkeley to meet program needs and to fulfill the job responsibilities. When driving on City business, the incumbent is required to maintain a valid California driver's license as well as a satisfactory driving record.
