OASIS is community field-based mental health services provided to older adults at their place of residence. This home visit services include medication evaluation and monitoring, individual counseling/therapy, and case management. This multiple discipline team with language capacity in English, Spanish, and Chinese, consists of Psychiatrists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists, a Community Mental Health Nurse, and a Peer Support Worker. Services are available to San Mateo County residents age 60 and over with issues of mobility and mental health conditions that impact their day-to-day functioning.  

Clinicians will use evidence-based approach to perform assessment, diagnosis, make medical necessity treatment plans, case management, individual therapy, and work with family members of clients' and other community providers for clients' mental health follow-up care needs. These interventions are provided in field setting or in clients' place of residence, and/or as needed to clients who are living in the community.

Clinicians are committed to providing medical necessity treatment that supports the clients' goals of independence and self-sufficiency with other service providers' support to continually live in the community with better quality of life. These positions embrace the challenge of providing simultaneous cooccurring treatment for both mental illness and substance use disorders in some cases; to work in an older adult outpatient setting as a member of a multidisciplinary team in collaboration and within the system of care.  

The ideal candidates will possess:  

• A current license as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Marriage and Family  
• Therapist, or are collecting hours to take the licensing exam;  
• Solid clinical treatment, assessment, diagnostic and evaluation skills;  
• Knowledge of principles, techniques and trends in counseling, psychotherapy, clinical case management, crisis management and various treatment modalities;

The Watershed Planning Project Manager (Class: Project Analyst II or Project Analyst III) will manage projects related to urban river restoration, public access, and open space conservation, master planning, and park development, including design and construction of new park amenities, creation of parkland in urban neighborhoods, renovation of infrastructure and buildings, acquisition of land, and planning in a watershed context. Supervision

This position may report to the Chief of Watershed Planning, Chief of Park Development, or other Executive-level staff depending on MRCA's needs. Assorted tasks may be supervised by Executive Staff and may include participation in multi-division teams. The position supervises no other staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The following duties are typical for this classification. Incumbents may not perform all of the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.

• Implement multiple projects simultaneously: The project manager is the central point of contact on all issues concerning assigned projects and will be responsible for project quality. Perform project tracking, scheduling, and budget management.
• Analyze various planning documents and processes for consistency and impacts on MRCA's watershed planning priorities. Write formal comment letters and informal memoranda.
• Participate in planning processes related to the Los Angeles River and other local watersheds, at both regional and individual project scales.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position, occasionally move about inside the office to access supplies and office machinery, frequently communicate and exchange information, review handwritten, electronic and facsimile documents, observe site conditions, and operate a computer and other office productivity machinery. Required Hours and Location

Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week with some scheduling flexibility. Occasional overtime work in evenings or weekends upon prior approval by supervisor. The position will work out of the Los Angeles River Center and Gardens but may be required to travel to various other locations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

COMPENSATION

Wages

The range of hourly rates for a Project Analyst II is $27.27 to $33.15.

The range of hourly rates for a Project Analyst III is $30.57 to $37.15.

Classification Level

The selected candidate may be hired as a Project Analyst II or Project Analyst III, depending on experience. A Project Analyst II will perform the functions with a moderate level of supervision, making some judgments independently, and regular check-ins for guidance and task prioritization. A Project Analyst III will perform the functions with a low level of supervision and less frequent check-ins to verify tasks and decision support. A Project Analyst III shall have the ability to advance into a team leadership role and determine project direction.

San Mateo County Health's Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Division is seeking a well-qualified individual for the position of Supervising Mental Health Clinician - Adult and Youth Services. Supervising Mental Health Clinicians supervise and coordinate the professional work of mental health professionals, paraprofessionals and interns in San Mateo County and participate in program planning, administration and evaluation; and provide specialized psychiatric casework counseling and therapeutic services to adults and youth in the field.
 
The current vacancy is in Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) Crisis and Outreach Team including the Psychiatric Emergency Response Team, the Crisis Response Team (CRT), Healthcare for the Homeless (HCH), Homeless Engagement Assessment Linkage (HEAL) team, and the law enforcement, mental health partnership within multiple cities in the County.

Supervising Mental Health Clinicians are members of the Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Leadership Team and work with collaborative partners on system wide initiatives focused on improving services and service delivery. This position reports directly to a Clinical Services Manager.
 
The Supervising Clinician oversees daily operations and directs a multidisciplinary team providing recovery-based behavioral health services, outreach and linkage for BHRS' crisis and outreach teams. Services provided include: supervising mobile clinicians who are working in tandem with city law enforcement at behavioral health crises and/or with homeless outreach programs throughout the County, supervise the program specialist for the Crisis and Outreach Team, and conduct trainings and presentations to law enforcement and the community.
 
The teams include psychiatrists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, law enforcement officers and community workers who are consumers or family members. The clinical teams may also work with clinical interns.  
 
The ideal candidate will possess:

• Knowledge of system of care principles.
• Knowledge of program management techniques and practices.
• Knowledge of crisis de-escalation, crisis evaluation, 5150-hold application, and community crisis response.
• Knowledge of crisis continuum of care.
• Strong supervisory/leadership skills, which demonstrate an ability to direct and motivate a multi-disciplinary team some of whom will be mobile and in disparate parts of the County.

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification:

Education and Experience: 
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is a Master's degree in a mental health specialty, such as social work, nursing, or clinical counseling and two years of professional post-graduate experience in a mental health setting.

Knowledge of:

THE POSITION

Special Requirements/Physical Demands:

• On-site field inspections and office work require a moderate amount of physical agility. Intermittently walk, stand, twist, squat, kneel, climb, and bend both in the office and in the field.
• On a continuous basis, sit at a desk or stand at a counter to answer questions of the public.  Write by long hand and use a computer keyboard to communicate through written means.
• Frequently lift or carry a weight of up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• The nature of the work requires the individual to climb 30’ to 40’ ladders or scaffolding to reach high areas such as roofs, balance on narrow walkways or steep-pitched roofs, crawl through narrow openings and in confined spaces.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking to fill vacancies for a Psychiatric Technician I/II for the Adult Outpatient Program/Adult Full-Service Partnership (FSP) Program. Psychiatric Technician I: This is the entry-level classification in the Psychiatric Technician series. Initially under close supervision, incumbents learn and perform routine medication monitoring, administration, and support, while learning Authority policies and procedures. 

Psychiatric Technician II: This is the journey-level classification in the Psychiatric Technician series. Positions at this level are distinguished from the Psychiatric Technician I by the performance of the full range of duties as assigned, working independently, and exercising judgment and initiative. Positions at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit.

Under the general direction of the Train Control Upgrade Project Manager, the Vehicle Train Control Engineer will lead the integration of the new train control system with the Siemens LRV4 vehicles. The Vehicle Train Control Engineer will be responsible for the successful design, fitment, and testing of all onboard equipment necessary to fully install the system on the LRV4 fleet and will represent the SFMTA in all project review and discussion related to onboard equipment installation.

The Train Control Upgrade Project will be delivered through a series of contracts with the technology vendor and other firms providing installation, construction support, technical expertise, and professional services. The Vehicle Train Control Engineer will coordinate the design activities related to onboard vehicle equipment between the supplier, the vehicle manufacturer, and the onboard equipment installer. The Vehicle Train Control Engineer will work closely with these three parties to ensure that the delivery and installation of onboard train control equipment is completed according to the project schedule. Examples of Important and Essential Duties:

• Oversees the successful integration of the train control system with the Siemens LRV4 vehicles, including design, fitment, and testing.
• Leads a team of SFMTA vehicle engineers assigned to the project.

Nature of work

  • Attend and represent the Mayor at City-related meetings and activities, meeting with governmental agencies, private industry, and related meetings.
  • Perform other duties of a similar nature or level as required.
  • Conduct public meetings and events on behalf of the Mayor and/or prepare summaries of public and private meetings, reports, memoranda, and other documents for review by the Mayor.
  • Provide support in community engagement efforts with neighborhood, district or citywide business or community groups or associations and other interested parties regarding community concerns, issues, and priorities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Employees in this classification are not members of the classified civil service and appointment would be on a contract “at-will” basis and is for a specified period of time to be determined by the appointing Councilmember and does not extend past the end of the elected official's or appointing authority's term. Candidates must be willing to work evenings and weekends on occasion, and as exempt management employees, are not eligible for overtime compensation. This unclassified position requires a disclosure of outside investments, real property interest, income and business positions.
