CHILD CARE TEACHER II: $4,220.00 - $4,900.00 Monthly, full-time benefited (comprehensive benefits package)

Under the direct supervision of the Child Care Site Coordinator, the Child Care Teacher II is responsible to provide recreational and educational instruction and activities, social development, guidance and care for preschool and elementary age children by leading and assisting in the selection and coordination of a variety of activities and curriculum at a child care site.

• Provide general supervision of children from ages 2.5 to 14 years.
• Assist in the development of diversified program of recreational games, arts, crafts and other activities for elementary school children.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

Psychologist I is the entry-level class in the Psychologist series, providing professional psychological diagnostic and therapeutic services in a county program. Work is generally of a routine nature requiring more direct supervision for the more complex cases. This class is flexibly staffed with Psychologist II and incumbents are expected to advance to the higher level after gaining experience and demonstrating the required proficiency.

Psychologist II is the fully experienced journey level class in the Psychologist series providing a full range of professional psychodiagnostic, psychotherapeutic, consultant, and training and research work in a comprehensive community mental health program with a high degree of skill and independence. Employees also serve as a team leader within regional programs.

Examples Of Duties

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Perform professional psychological work involving evaluation and treatment of children and/or adults; make diagnoses and provide psychotherapy and other kinds of psychological treatment in one of the option areas.
• Select and administer psychological tests or observational procedures, interpret their results and prepare psychological evaluation reports.
• Carry out various kinds of treatment work such as individual or group psychotherapy, family therapy, crisis intervention, behavior modification and various types of group process experience.
• Provide mental health consultation appropriate to the needs of various professionals, agencies and community groups.
• Participate in developing preventive mental health procedures in segments of community life.
• Participate in regional or service unit research projects.
• Participate in the training of psychology trainees or other mental health disciplines.
• Provide psychological consultation to other mental health staff or personnel of other community agencies.
• Confer with patients' relatives regarding treatment and case management.

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification:

• Psychologist I: Application for a waiver in lieu of license to the State Department of Mental Health for Psychology. An individual hired in this classification must become licensed within six years from the date of employment.
• Psychologist II: California license in Clinical Psychology.

The Office Assistant position at the Cooperative Extension Department performs a variety of   clerical duties in support of the function to which assigned; to provide word processing and data entry support; and to provide information and assistance to the public regarding departmental   policies and procedures. The position is at-will, temporary, part-time and scheduled for twenty-five (25) hours per week.

JOB DUTIES

This position performs a variety of para-professional, responsible eligibility determination, case management duties, and performs related duties as assigned in the Adult Unit and Adult Drop In Center. The HHSA Case Manager II is distinguished from the HHSA Case Manager I by the performance of the full range of duties as assigned, responsible for direct client contact in the provision of case management including complex cases. The position is located in the Behavioral Health Division at the Glenn County Health and Human Services Agency is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

What You'll Do

The Public Works Supervisor will organize and supervise work crews engaged in the maintenance and repair of streets, traffic markings, signs, signals, street lights, drains, storm pump, stormwater conveyance systems and sanitary pumps, lagoons, dams, creeks and ditches; to provide technical staff assistance, including safety compliance and implementation.  Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Recommend and assist in the implementation of program goals and objectives; standard operating procedures; establish schedules and methods for street, traffic and stormwater conveyance systems maintenance and repair; safety compliance and implementation; implement policies and procedures.
• Organize and supervise crews of skilled and semi-skilled personnel in the repair and maintenance of streets and stormwater conveyance systems, including street resurfacing, streetlights, traffic signals and street markings and signs, repairing and patching; street cleaning; sidewalk, curb and gutter removal and replacement; sewer cleaning and repair; weed control and storm drain cleaning maintenance.
• Maintain and interpret time, material and equipment use records; determine and implement adjustments to optimize the effectiveness of the maintenance system.
• Investigate complaints and recommend corrective actions as necessary to resolve complaints.
• Fully utilize the computerized work systems in accordance with workflow processes.
• Participate in selecting, training, motivating, counseling and evaluating staff; participate in monitoring employee performance objectives; prepare employee performance reviews; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline procedures.
• Coordinate safety training and support Department safety programs including preparation and updating of City safety practices, standard operating procedures and training materials. May be asked to conduct specific safety trainings depending on training and experience. These activities may be required in both the Engineering & General Services and Environmental Services Divisions as requested by the Director.
• Inspect the work of crews while in progress; provide advice and assistance to subordinate supervisors and lead workers.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates for street, sewer, traffic and drainage system maintenance and repair activities; make plans and sketches for minor street maintenance and repair projects.
• Assist in coordinating street, sewer, traffic and drainage system maintenance activities with other City departments, divisions, and sections and with outside agencies.
• Participate in budget preparation and administration; prepare cost estimates for budget recommendations; submit justifications for needed equipment and materials; monitor and control expenditures.

Writes City Council staff reports and prepares constructions contract agreements and amendments. In addition to the above duties, individual will provide assistance in the review of improvement plans for private development projects and may make oral presentations before the City Council and various commissions and committees.

The county prisoner population is made up of those who are sentenced to county jail, those serving state prison sentences in the county jail under AB109, and those who are pre-trial and who have not yet been sentenced. The jail provides a necessary link in the criminal justice system.
