This is an exciting opportunity under the Technical Infrastructure Division in the Information Technology Department (ITD). The Technical Infrastructure Division designs and engineers solutions that address and meet the City's strategies built around Smart City initiatives, such as Digital Inclusion and Digital Equity, Public Wi-Fi expansion for Economic Development, Endpoint Modernization and virtualization, Multi-cloud frameworks, and digital analytics to support data-driven decisions. Salary Information: The actual salary shall be determined by the final candidate's qualifications and experience. In addition to the starting salary, employees in the Enterprise Information Technology Engineer (EITE) I/II shall also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay.

Salary Range including the 5% non-pensionable increase:

• Enterprise Information Technology Engineer I: $121,583.28 - $147,944.16 annually
• Enterprise Information Technology Engineer II: $128,812.32 - $156,942.24 annually

The EITE I/II classifications are represented by the Municipal Employees' Federation (MEF) bargaining unit.

This is an entry level position under general supervision to perform semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance of the sewage collection system, flow equalization facility, lift stations, buildings and grounds maintenance and to perform related work as required.

The City of Orinda is searching for a motivated individual to perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled duties in the maintenance, repair, and construction of City streets and drainage facilities, sign and striping repair and replacement, graffiti removal, and vegetation trimming and clearing. All full time maintenance personnel in the City are responsible for after-hours emergency call-outs, including weekends and holidays, on a rotational basis.  Special and holiday event (including 4th of July) coverage may also be required.    This position is the entry level in the Maintenance Worker series, reporting to the Public Works Supervisor.

Examples of essential duties:

• Maintains and/or repairs City streets and catch basins; grade, scrape, and level surfaces in preparation for road paving; performs repair of curbs and gutters and paving of streets and alleys using pneumatic tools, asphalt rakes, and other hand tools;
• Removes and replaces road surface material and debris; load, transport and unload stones, gravel, dirt, supplies, and equipment;
• Installs, repairs and cleans storm drains, pipelines, catch basins, and storm drain grates; cleans and maintains catch basins and right of ways;
• Trims and removes trees; performs stump grinding and root cutting;
• Fills, patches, and resurfaces holes, cracks, ditches, and service laterals; installs and replaces street and traffic signs;
• Performs skilled operation of the bobcat, street sweeper, dump truck, equipment trailer, and other heavy and light equipment;
• Removes and inspects manhole covers and manholes; mixes, pours, and finishes concrete to raise manholes to street surfaces; replaces manhole covers as needed;
• Places traffic control and warning signs; serves as a flagman; sets up lanterns and barricades;
• Operates a chemical sprayer in assigned areas to abate weeds;
• Performs graffiti removal; and
• Performs preventive maintenance procedures and minor maintenance and adjustments on equipment used.

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:

Education: Equivalent to a high school diploma; and

Experience: One year of experience performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and construction and equipment operation work; and

License and Certificate: Possession of a valid California Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.  Ability to obtain Confined Space, Traffic Control Flagger, Trench Shoring, and Fork Lift Certificates.

Special Requirements: Essential duties require the following physical skills and work environment:

The Department: The Suisun City Police Department is a progressive and proactive law enforcement agency. The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of Administrative Technician. There is currently a vacancy in the Community Development and Services Agency in the Finance and Administration division with an anticipated vacancy in the Sheriff's Department. Under general supervision the Administrative Technician performs technical level administrative, operational, procedural, and/or program related duties in assistance to a County department; researches, collects, and analyzes data and prepares draft reports; performs administrative and technical work of assigned program area; and provides responsible administrative and technical assistance to management; coordinates program activities, assisting with process improvement efforts, preparing a variety of correspondence and reports and performs other duties as assigned.

DEFINITION

Manages the Town's transportation program, including engineering, planning, budgeting, construction and maintenance of the Town's traffic network and transportation infrastructure system and a team of professional personnel.  Oversees multi-modal transportation projects, traffic safety and congestion reduction programs, traffic studies, and initiatives.  Provides supervision to assigned staff.  Maintains effective working relationships with Town employees, community members, state and county agencies, and appropriate others in support of assigned duties.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED

Receives direction from the Development Services Director.  General supervision is exercised over professional staff. 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Essential duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Develops and directs the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards for assigned division; interprets and complies with all applicable local, state and federal regulations (e.g. MUTCD, etc.).
• Develops and monitors the division’s budget; oversees financial well-being of the division by analyzing cost effectiveness and directing cost control activities.
• Oversees the budgeting, planning, engineering, and construction of Town’s transportation capital improvement projects.
• Oversees and directs workflow for multiple programs and functions (e.g. Neighborhood Traffic Management Program, etc.). 
• Evaluates, analyzes, prepares, reviews, and submits routine and specialized technical reports.
• Coordinate interdepartmental responses to transportation and traffic projects; work closely with engineering, maintenance, planning, and police staff on a wide-range of municipal transportation and traffic issues.
• Oversees transportation review of the traffic and transportation requirements for land development projects; prepare scope of work for traffic impact studies; reviews traffic impact studies, makes comments and recommendation for approval.  
• Oversees the operation and maintenance of the Town’s traffic, bicycle and pedestrian signals and related infrastructure, including inspections, troubleshooting, and contracting for major repairs.
• Review accident reports and prepare collision diagrams. 
• Review and comment on new traffic signal plans and assist with field inspection of new traffic signals; monitor traffic signal operations and make proactive field adjustments and enhancements. 
• Apply highway design standards, criteria, and policies; utilize accident and traffic volume records and traffic control device inventory to produce a complete and creative solution to traffic problems.
• Apply for and secure funds for targeted transportation grants.
• Makes presentations to Town Council, boards, commissions, and citizen groups.
• Staff liaison to a number of multi-agency Joint Powers Authorities and Regional Committees to ensure multi-agency collaboration on regional issues and programs are met and that multi-agency services are being provided efficiently and effectively; collaborates closely with Town Council liaison to the Committee(s), as well as other agencies’ elected officials.
• Coordinates, corresponds and interacts directly with citizens, customers, staff, etc., for transportation engineering services (e.g. safety, traffic calming, sight distance, speed management, active transportation, etc.).
• Respond to citizen inquiries, suggestions, and concerns for safety and/or solutions to unique traffic problems by creatively utilizing acceptable traffic engineering standards.
• Represents the Town before boards, commissions, and committees addressing transportation issues in southwest Contra Costa County
• Performs emergency or disaster-related duties as assigned; and
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of:

• Principles, practices, and techniques of transportation planning and traffic engineering.
• Fundamentals of traffic engineering, including human and vehicular characteristics, intersection and roadway capacity, transportation impact studies, traffic signal operations, intersection design, residential street design and traffic control, on and off‑street parking, traffic control devices; traffic signal operations at isolated intersections and coordinated signal systems, and site planning.
• Recent developments, current literature and sources of information regarding transportation planning and traffic engineering.

Ability to:

• Prepare clear and concise written reports and correspondence.
• Make presentations before the Town Council and other organizations.
• Apply transportation planning and traffic engineering knowledge to specific technical problems.
• Layout and design a wide variety of traffic implementation plans.
• Deal tactfully and effectively with the general public, civic and community groups, public officials and consultants.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Experience:

Five (5) years of progressive experience in civil engineering, traffic engineering, transportation planning, or closely related field including at least two (2) years of supervisory experience.

Education:

A bachelor’s degree in transportation planning, traffic engineering or closely related field.

LICENSE(S) AND CERTIFICATION(S)

Possession of a valid California State Driver's License, or license in another state with the ability to obtain a California license within 30 days of hire. Registration as a Traffic Engineer is desired but not mandatory.

General

The Manager, Transit Oriented Development works under the general direction of the Director of Real Estate & Property Development, and the direct supervision of the Deputy Director of Real Estate & Development, and is responsible for implementing all real estate activities necessary to support Transit Oriented Development (TOD) projects of the San Mateo County Transit District (SamTrans), the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board (Caltrain), and the San Mateo County Transportation Authority (TA).

Essential Functions & Duties

• Supervise Property Management staff who manage the Agency’s lease portfolio. Hire, mentor, and take appropriate corrective and/or disciplinary action. Participate in selection, coordinate staff training, establish performance objectives, and perform performance appraisals.
• Manage TOD programs on SamTrans and TA-owned real estate. Provide support to develop, plan, negotiate, and implement the TOD and Joint Development Project programs.
• Oversee development business plans and financial forecasts of potential and proposed real estate projects.
• Serve as subject matter expert on federal, state, and regional statutes, proposed legislation, and regulations pertaining to TOD.
• Monitor and advocate for SamTrans’ interests, with the help of government affairs, in legislation relating to development, density, etc, for promotion of TOD and joint development.
• Serve as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders on all TOD matters.

• Oversee the daily functions, operations, and real estate activities in support of the TOD and Joint Development Program.
• Manage all aspects of the TOD projects from beginning to completion including policy development and maintenance, project planning, stakeholder meetings, budget, schedule, entitlement process, RFP/RFQ, developer selection process, Board Presentations, etc. 
• Lead negotiations for long term land leases and other disposition agreements for TOD and joint development projects.
• Develop and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support development opportunities; resolve issues; and to develop consensus on project and schedule.
• Work closely with community members, neighborhood councils, businesses, property owners, neighborhood groups, and various public/private organizations to address concerns.
• General property research
• Collaboration with internal divisions to further TOD goals and objectives employees and the public from injury or harm. Promote safety awareness and follow safety procedures in an effort to reduce or eliminate accidents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Sufficient experience, training and/or education to demonstrate the knowledge and ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. In lieu of a degree, work-related experience that demonstrates the skills and experience necessary to perform this role will be accepted. Development of the required knowledge and abilities is typically obtained through but not limited to: 

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Five years of full time progressively responsible real estate development and TOD planning experience.
• Two years of experience in a supervisory role.

• Effective oral, written, and presentation skills.
• Experience with project management is desired.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

The City of Berkeley invites you to apply for the position of Senior Planner! In this role, you will provide lead direction and conduct complex projects in the area of Transportation, Land Use, or Rent Stabilization. The current vacancy is in the Transportation Division of the Public Works Department.

As a Senior Planner in Transportation, you will lead the Vision Zero Program, aiming to eliminate severe injury and fatality traffic crashes by 2028. With the support of an Associate Planner (Vision Zero Program Coordinator), you will be responsible for managing program elements outlined in the Berkeley Vision Zero Action Plan, including administration, interdepartmental and interagency coordination, capital projects, and public awareness initiatives. You'll serve as project manager for major corridor and "quick build" capital projects on the Vision Zero High Injury Streets, and will lead the conceptual design, public engagement, environmental clearance and Berkeley City Council approval of these projects.

In the Land Use Division of the Planning and Development Department, the Senior Planner is responsible for managing complex and large projects, including General Plan updates, plans focused on Berkeley’s Priority Development Areas, Zoning Ordinance amendments, grant-funded projects, and State-mandated reports and projects.

When assigned to the Rent Stabilization Board, the Senior Planner leads projects and programs associated with Berkeley’s Rent Ordinance, which regulates most residential rents in Berkeley, protects tenants against unwarranted evictions, and is intended to maintain affordable housing and preserve community diversity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A typical way of gaining the knowledge, skills, and abilities for this classification is:
Equivalent to graduation from a four year college or university with major coursework in city or regional planning, urban planning, or a field related to the work, and four (4) years of professional planning experience, including two (2) years at a level equivalent to that of the Associate Planner.

Progressively responsible related experience may be substituted for the college coursework on a year-for-year basis.

Must be able to attend evening meetings as required. A valid California driver's license is desirable.

The City of San José Information Technology Department (ITD) seeks a Cybersecurity Analyst (Enterprise Supervising Technology Analyst) to support new and existing initiatives in the Cybersecurity Office. The position will focus on Risk Mitigation as well as Identity & Access Management with exposure and support on all aspects of the Cybersecurity practice, including cross-support.

The ideal candidate will be part of one of the largest, most innovative communities in the nation. Led by the City Information Security Officer (CISO), the Cybersecurity Analyst will implement and manage information and system security programs across the City that keep municipal services secure and resilient. The Cybersecurity Analysts will support the CISO and the City by administering risk identification, protection and compliance, threat detection, incident response, and recovery services for all City departments to achieve business resilience.

The City of San José requires Cybersecurity Analysts to be highly skilled and adapt quickly to deal with emerging challenges. The candidate must be able to apply expertise in all aspects of security, interface with vendors, keep their skills current, manage security projects, and provide security services to City departments with strong outcomes.

Tracking and reporting mitigation efforts. Be familiar with the Plan of Action and Milestones in tracking, remediating, socializing, and getting them to completion.
• Working with other teams preparing, detecting, eradicating, and restoring operations in the event of incidents.
• Managing Plan of Action and Milestones for existing vulnerabilities
• Working with relevant teams to ensure the restoration of systems and technologies in accordance with policy and based on business group needs.
• Interfacing with the Virtual Security Operations Center (V-SOC) and using deployed tools and services to ensure system and network monitoring is taking place in accordance with defined service levels, contracts, and established standards.
• This role requires flexibility and adaptability to meet the Security needs of the ITD. The individual must be able to support other areas of expertise within the security domain, such as but not limited to NIST Cybersecurity Framework implementation, Identity Access Management, Risk Management & Compliance, Risk Assessments, Training, Audit Support, and others.

Please note that the Cybersecurity Analyst (Enterprise Supervising Technology Analyst) position is currently eligible for a hybrid telework schedule. The schedule for working remotely and onsite is subject to change.

Salary Information: The final candidate's qualifications and experience shall determine the actual salary. In addition to the starting salary, employees in the Enterprise Supervising Technology Analyst (ESTA) classification shall also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay.

• Salary Range (including the 5% NPWI): $141,697.92 - $172,645.20

The ESTA classification is represented by the City Association of Management Personnel (CAMP) bargaining unit.

The City of Foster City is looking for an experienced and dedicated Management Assistant to perform a wide variety of responsible, complex, and confidential administrative duties. This position requires considerable confidentiality with sensitive information, initiative, mature and independent judgment, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills. 

Education and Experience
Any combination equivalent to experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities. A typical way would be:

Education: Equivalent to completion of high school. Post high school or specialized administrative support training is desirable.

Experience: Four years of increasingly responsible experience providing project management support; at least two years of administrative support to a manager at an executive, division, or department head level. One year of supervisory experience is desirable.

Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed for relevant education, experience, training, and other job related qualifications. Based upon a review of employment applications received, a limited number of the qualified applicants will be invited to participate in the examination process. 

The process will consist of an Oral Panel Interview (weighted 80%) and a written exercise (weighted 20%). An eligibility list will be established from those who pass the examination process with a score of 70% or higher. Current and future vacancies may be filled from this list. The list will remain in effect for at least one year unless exhausted sooner. 

The department will invite the most qualified candidates from the eligibility list to a final department interview. The City Manager's Department will make the hiring decision.
