Correctional Health Services (CHS) therapists provide clinical mental health services utilizing Trauma Informed Care to inmates with mental illness, serious mental illness, or substance use disorders and/or co-occurring disorders of mental illness, serious mental illness, and chemical dependency. They also provide case management services and discharge planning by interviewing inmate patients to assess mental health needs and formulate treatment plans. They function as a team member in a multi-disciplinary work setting where they collaborate with Sheriff's Office staff to manage inmate patients' daily activities. The Ideal Candidate will possess

• A current license as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Marriage and Family Therapist.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
 
This is an unrepresented mid-management classification that oversees, directs, and participates in the day-to-day operations of an assigned Human Resources division, including planning, and budgeting, coordinating with other divisions and departments, and managing and accomplishing the complex and varied functions of the department. The position is distinguished from the Senior Human Resources Analyst, which is an advanced journey-level classification that performs a wide variety of professional level duties independently but does not have full division management responsibility.  The classification is distinguished from the Deputy Director of Human Resources, which is a single management-level classification that provides oversight of the entire Human Resources program and assists the Director of Human Resources in overall Human Resources management and policy development.

Essential Duties:

• Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

Minimum Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Any combination equivalent to experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Experience: Five (5) years of increasingly responsible Human Resources management experience including assignments in the areas of recruitment, selection, classification, training, compensation, employee and labor relations, worker's compensation and safety administration, and employee benefits or other pertinent job-related areas, including two (2) years of supervisory or lead experience.

Education: Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in human resources, business, or public administration or closely related field.

The Public Authority for In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) is seeking well-qualified individuals for the position of Public Authority Registry Social Worker II/III with fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese. There is one vacancy in the Public Authority. The current vacancy would be responsible for supporting IHSS consumers who do not have caregiver resources, in hiring a homecare provider from the Public Authority Registry and helping the client and provider establish a successful working relationship. The position is located in San Mateo, CA, but will require travel throughout the County to perform duties of the positions.

NOTE: The Public Authority Registry Social Worker II/III is not a County position; the Public Authority unit reports to the San Mateo County Director of Aging and Adult Services.

PUBLIC AUTHORITY

The Public Authority serves as the employer of record for IHSS homecare workers, with the IHSS consumer retaining the right to hire, fire and train their worker. The Public Authority's responsibilities include operating a Registry that recruits, screens and refers potential homecare providers to IHSS consumers needing personal assistance in their home; screening the backgrounds of IHSS providers in accordance with IHSS policies and regulations; providing training opportunities to IHSS providers to enhance their skills in serving IHSS consumers; and offering support and assistance to Registry consumers and providers to ensure the employer-employee relationship between the Registry consumer and provider are functioning well. The IHSS consumer is the IHSS employer and is responsible for hiring and supervising a provider for the care they receive. Consumers who do not have caregiver resources, may choose to hire a caregiver from the Public Authority Registry. The Public Authority Social Worker will assist those recipients with the hiring of a Public Authority Registry worker and help them to manage their role as the employer.

• Conduct home visits to support consumers' hiring needs.

OASIS is community field-based mental health services provided to older adults at their place of residence. This home visit services include medication evaluation and monitoring, individual counseling/therapy, and case management. This multiple discipline team with language capacity in English, Spanish, and Chinese, consists of Psychiatrists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists, a Community Mental Health Nurse, and a Peer Support Worker. Services are available to San Mateo County residents age 60 and over with issues of mobility and mental health conditions that impact their day-to-day functioning.  

Clinicians will use evidence-based approach to perform assessment, diagnosis, make medical necessity treatment plans, case management, individual therapy, and work with family members of clients' and other community providers for clients' mental health follow-up care needs. These interventions are provided in field setting or in clients' place of residence, and/or as needed to clients who are living in the community.

Clinicians are committed to providing medical necessity treatment that supports the clients' goals of independence and self-sufficiency with other service providers' support to continually live in the community with better quality of life. The Watershed Planning Project Manager (Class: Project Analyst II or Project Analyst III) will manage projects related to urban river restoration, public access, and open space conservation, master planning, and park development, including design and construction of new park amenities, creation of parkland in urban neighborhoods, renovation of infrastructure and buildings, acquisition of land, and planning in a watershed context. Supervision

This position may report to the Chief of Watershed Planning, Chief of Park Development, or other Executive-level staff depending on MRCA's needs. Assorted tasks may be supervised by Executive Staff and may include participation in multi-division teams. The position supervises no other staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The following duties are typical for this classification. Incumbents may not perform all of the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.

• Implement multiple projects simultaneously: The project manager is the central point of contact on all issues concerning assigned projects and will be responsible for project quality. Perform project tracking, scheduling, and budget management.
• Analyze various planning documents and processes for consistency and impacts on MRCA's watershed planning priorities. Write formal comment letters and informal memoranda.
• Participate in planning processes related to the Los Angeles River and other local watersheds, at both regional and individual project scales.

Required Hours and Location

The position will work out of the Los Angeles River Center and Gardens but may be required to travel to various other locations. Offices at the River Center are spread among multiple buildings and floors. Remote working or a hybrid schedule may be allowed, subject to supervisor approval.

As public parklands, the majority of MRCA properties are open to the general public during operating hours. This position is likely to have physical contact with members of the public in public areas such as parking lots and shared public/office restrooms and during in-person public meetings. COMPENSATION

Wages

The range of hourly rates for a Project Analyst II is $27.27 to $33.15.

The range of hourly rates for a Project Analyst III is $30.57 to $37.15.

Classification Level

The selected candidate may be hired as a Project Analyst II or Project Analyst III, depending on experience. A Project Analyst II will perform the functions with a moderate level of supervision, making some judgments independently, and regular check-ins for guidance and task prioritization. A Project Analyst III will perform the functions with a low level of supervision and less frequent check-ins to verify tasks and decision support. The Position

The Solid Waste Manager reports directly to the Environmental Services Manager and is responsible for the administration of multiple integrated waste management contracts and programs within the Environmental Services Division. This position supervises a team of technical staff who execute various integrated solid waste management activities and may serve as the division head in the absence of the Environmental Services Manager.

• Manage multiple City franchise agreements for solid waste collection, material transfer and recovery, and landfill disposal including negotiating contract terms and monitoring performance.

San Mateo County Health is seeking an experienced individual for the position of Public Health Clinics Strategic Projects Manager. This management position will report to the Public Health Clinics Manager, overseeing Edison Clinics and Mobile Clinics and will have broad project management responsibility for key strategic efforts affecting the Public Health clinics.
