The City of Sunnyvale is currently recruiting for TWO Permit Technician positions to perform a variety of responsible customer service, clerical and technical assistance duties. 

The Community Development Department has one regular Full-Time Permit Technician position to support the Building Safety Team at the City's One-Stop Permit Center. 

The Department of Public Safety has one Regular Part-Time Permit Technician position to support the Fire Prevention & Hazardous Materials Unit and will report to the Civilian Assistant Fire Marshal. 

Under direction of an assigned manager from Building, Planning, or Fire Prevention performs responsible technical work in one or more specialized divisions which involves researching and responding to customer questions regarding department policies and procedures, the receipt of fees, and assisting with processing permit applications; and performs related work as required.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

Psychologist I is the entry-level class in the Psychologist series, providing professional psychological diagnostic and therapeutic services in a county program. Work is generally of a routine nature requiring more direct supervision for the more complex cases. This class is flexibly staffed with Psychologist II and incumbents are expected to advance to the higher level after gaining experience and demonstrating the required proficiency.

Psychologist II is the fully experienced journey level class in the Psychologist series providing a full range of professional psychodiagnostic, psychotherapeutic, consultant, and training and research work in a comprehensive community mental health program with a high degree of skill and independence. Employees also serve as a team leader within regional programs.

Examples Of Duties

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Perform professional psychological work involving evaluation and treatment of children and/or adults; make diagnoses and provide psychotherapy and other kinds of psychological treatment in one of the option areas.
• Select and administer psychological tests or observational procedures, interpret their results and prepare psychological evaluation reports.
• Carry out various kinds of treatment work such as individual or group psychotherapy, family therapy, crisis intervention, behavior modification and various types of group process experience.
• Provide mental health consultation appropriate to the needs of various professionals, agencies and community groups.
• Participate in developing preventive mental health procedures in segments of community life.
• Participate in regional or service unit research projects.
• Participate in the training of psychology trainees or other mental health disciplines.
• Provide psychological consultation to other mental health staff or personnel of other community agencies.
• Confer with patients' relatives regarding treatment and case management.
• Consult with psychiatrists, social workers and others in community agencies regarding psychological aspects of their work.
• Maintain mental health records and prepares reports.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification:

• Psychologist I: Application for a waiver in lieu of license to the State Department of Mental Health for Psychology. An individual hired in this classification must become licensed within six years from the date of employment.
• Psychologist II: California license in Clinical Psychology.

ABOUT THE POSITION
The City of Gilroy is recruiting a Senior Planner position in the Community Development Department. Planning Manager

The Town of Los Gatos is accepting applications for the Planning Manager position in the Community Development Department.

This position is part of an exciting fast-paced team responsible for mitigating risks and managing a power portfolio comprised of hundreds of megawatts of renewable energy projects.

The selected candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities:
 

• Support the administration of power purchase agreements (herein, referred as "contracts"), including monitoring and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• Review, understand and interpret contracts; Support development of processes to ensure that the contracts are managed and settled timely, accurately, efficiently and in compliance with the contracted terms.
• Prepare, review and verify the accuracy of settlement statements and invoices for contracts.
• Support the administration of contract prepayment transaction activities related to invoices settlement.
• Interpret, analyze, communicate and resolve issues that arise during contract administration and support the dispute resolution process.
• Identify and flag any problems related to administration of existing contracts and suggest improvement for future contracts. Support implementation of process improvements in contract management.
• Review and verify weekly CAISO settlement invoices and resolve disputes in case of discrepancies.
• Support development of procedures for settlements and invoice verification.
• Collaborate with internal and external parties during negotiations and execution of contracts and advise on implications to settlements process.
• Support the manager in development of analytics to validate settlements, measure contract performance and compliance.
• Analyze settlement and market data to address management questions and provide insights.

THE POSITION

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is currently hiring to fill three (3) full-time vacancies for the position of Psychiatric Technician I/II within the Mobile Crisis Care Program (MCCP). Tri-City’s MCCP is a 24/7 mobile crisis response team with shifts that may include evenings, weekends, daytime hours, and holidays. Weekend and night shifts will be entitled to Shift Differential Pay of $2.50 per hour on weekdays (Monday through Friday) and $3.50 per hour on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Holiday shifts will be entitled to Holiday Pay.

Tri-City is looking for individuals to serve as a Psychiatric Technician I/II on a full-time basis for the MCCP. The MCCP Psychiatric Technician will be part of a team that provides crisis intervention and stabilization, linkage and referral, consultation, and education within the scope of practice. The MCCP Psychiatric Technician will report to the Mobile Crisis Care Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Program Manager.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Respond to client’s (Full-Service Partnership and Adult and Children’s Outpatient Programs and other specialty mental health services) crisis calls with or without law enforcement;

• Perform field-based and telephone emergency mental health evaluations and crisis stabilization in accordance with agency procedures;

• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services to individuals, groups, and families;

• Identify treatment needs and make appropriate referrals for necessary services;

• Assist clients and relatives with understanding behavioral health problems and their reaction to them;

• Work on a multidisciplinary team for crisis response.

• Perform triage and linkages to non-client community members in the Tri-City catchment areas.

• Perform critical incident debriefs at the request of a community partner.

• Ability to respond to a mobile crisis in the community catchment area (Pomona, Claremont, and La Verne) within 60 minutes of disposition.

• Follow up with clients who receive mobile crisis services and collaborate with the client's treatment team for warm hand-off.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to calls during assigned shifts including: after regular business hours, late evenings, overnight hours, and on weekends; field work may be required.
