The City of Berkeley invites you to apply for the position of Assistant Aquatics Coordinator in the Parks, Recreation & Waterfront Department! In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist in planning, directing and implementing water sports and aquatics center activities. Programs include swim lessons, team aquatics and classes for all ages and experience levels.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A typical way of gaining the knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position is:

Equivalent to graduation from high school and four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in recreation or aquatics program planning, coordination or leadership which included one (1) year of lead experience in the principles and techniques of effective supervision. College level coursework in recreation, physical education or closely related field may be substituted for the experience on a year for year basis.

Other requirements include:

• American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid certification
• American Red Cross Title 22 Certification
• American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification
• Valid California Driver's License

Desirable within six months of appointment: American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certificate, Certified Pool Operator certificate.

The Crossing Guard position is a part-time position, approximately five hours per day, two (2) hours in the morning and three (2) hours in the afternoon, Monday through Friday.  Crossing Guards work a school year (September through June).  Applicants must be able to work outdoors, have reliable transportation or ability to report to assignment consistently.

Crossing Guards work under the general direction of the Parking Operations Lead Community Service Officer with the Seal Beach Police Department.  Based on the needs of the City, a flexible schedule may be assigned for either a morning or afternoon shift or a combination thereof, or for specific week days, based on the availability of the Crossing Guards and at the discretion of the Police Services Manager.

The Yuba County Sheriff’s Department is currently accepting applications to establish an eligibility list for the classification of Correctional Officer.  Under continuing supervision incumbents perform a wide variety of support in two areas: corrections, in which incumbents ensure the security, safety and care of individuals in custody; and bailiff, in which incumbents ensure the safety and security of the courts and their personnel during court proceedings; and perform related work as assigned. The Yuba County Sheriff's Department is responsible for the administration of the Yuba County Jail and Jail staff. DUTIES

Meeting Support: Post meeting information on the website, conduct quorum checks, assist in setting up for two monthly morning meetings, prepare minutes, coordinate follow-up action as needed and assist with occasional community events.
Document Management: Organize, track, and maintain physical and electronic files, including meeting agendas and packets, resolutions, key agency documents, employee information, etc. Digitize and organize archived files.

Billing: Manage and track incoming invoices, apply finance codes to invoices and checks, collaborate with contract accountant and finance staff, manage the agency credit card, and oversee billing related to specific programs. Regularly deliver invoices and deposits in-person to the City of San Pablo City Hall.

This position is responsible for performing work focused on security services at City Hall and providing a safe and orderly environment for staff and the public. Key responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Providing service to customers, monitoring closed circuit video and access control systems in Security Operation Center (SOC).
• Escorting contractors to perform maintenance on security equipment.

Current shifts for this position are Monday through Friday, day and swing and shifts with added graveyard shifts on the weekends and/or holidays. The Project Development Manager is responsible for participating in project development through working with developers, feedstock providers, financing agencies, public agencies, and other organizations related primarily to the
development of biomass facilities. The Project Development Manager assumes a high level of responsibility for difficult, complex and varied duties, works with a high degree of independence, and represents Pioneer Community Energy to a
variety of stakeholders and outside entities. Duties include:

• Developing biomass power generation facilities within California.
• Managing and supporting all aspects of biomass project development from initial site selection through operations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed in an office environment in close proximity to other workers.  Incumbent shall be exposed to those conditions normally encountered in a business office environment.  Physical demands require frequent standing, reaching, leaning, twisting, grasping, lifting and sitting for prolonged periods of time.  Must carry moderately heavy boxes up to 50 pounds and/or utilize a dolly.  Incumbent must be able to drive safely to various City sites.  Incumbent must be able to see and hear in the normal range, with or without correction.  Incumbent must have the stamina to work long hours and overtime, if assigned, and be willing to work an irregular schedule, which might include evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying hours.
