We are seeking a Senior Information Systems Analyst to join Valley Water’s Information Technologies team. The Sr. Information Systems Analyst is responsible for advanced networking and server virtualization in both our Corporate and Scada (Industrial) networks. The City of San José is recruiting for a Finance Applications Associate IT Manager (Enterprise Principal Technology Analyst) in the Information Technology Department. This position is responsible for the management and support of the City's enterprise Finance Management System, Revenue Management/Collection System, and Finance Reporting System. This position combines managerial and leadership responsibilities along with hands-on technical expertise to deliver day-to-day system operations. Key job duties are service level management, including service level agreements (SLAs) and Incident Management, as well as delivery of smaller projects and system enhancements. The Finance Applications Associate IT Manager is also responsible for resource and performance management of the Finance Applications IT Team.

The City of Sunnyvale is seeking a Building Inspector to provide building construction inspections. Depending on the applicant qualifications, the position will be filled at the appropriate level/salary of either a Building Inspector I or Building Inspector II.

About the Department

This City’s Building Division provides oversight and assistance towards the City's growth and development in relation to construction activity on private property within the City.  The goal is to ensure the safety of buildings and to support the health and wellbeing of all persons living and working in San Jose through the implementation of the State of California’s current building codes and laws.

The Division is seeking applicants for the Associate Engineer classification within the Building Plan Review Services section. Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Architectural, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field (e.g. Construction Management). An EIT certificate is not acceptable as replacement for the required Bachelor’s degree.

Experience: Associate Engineers working in the Building Division as plan reviewers must have four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in professional Civil Engineering work such as, Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering with at least two (2) years of experience in design and construction of buildings.

Licenses: Possession of a valid State of California driver's license may be required. Other licenses or certifications may be required for positions. (Registration as a Civil Engineer or Architect with the State of California is preferred. Possession of ICC Plans Examiner certification is preferred).

Acceptable Substitution: A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in the required professional engineering or architectural discipline may be substituted for one (1) year of professional engineering or architectural experience.

The primary role of this position is to act as technical lead in supporting and managing diverse departmental business systems that include web and client servers’ application, database, Permitting and Compliance, public web portal, Business Intelligence, GIS, Inspection scheduling/Dispatch, Digital Inspection and performing all duties necessary for maintaining, supporting and optimize systems.  This position must ensure business processes for users are documented and that systems meet customer expectations.  This position is responsible for ongoing user training, report creation, systems administrations, system support, maintenance, and programming efforts and must maintain excellent customer relations.

The ideal candidate must be able to work in a dynamic environment and can effectively perform operational tasks in addition to implement projects.  This is a professional level in the IT professional management IT series and will be expected to act in a supervisory role over Sr. System Application Programmers and System Application Programmers.
