This position will focus on the Family Sufficiency Program (FSS) including coordination of activities, counseling, and evaluation of participants in the Family Self-Sufficiency program; provides or arranges for training programs, conducts orientations, evaluations, and appraisals of clients, collect data, file reports, provide technical assistance to the Housing Programs & Family Self-Sufficiency and other Authority staff; and housing assistance, including eligibility determination, landlord relations, coordination of activities, and counseling and evaluation of participants in the program.

The Santa Clara County Housing Authority (SCCHA) is looking for a skilled Accountant II to perform a range of complex and varied technical and professional accounting tasks. Key duties include auditing, analyzing, and verifying financial records and reports, preparing financial and statistical reports, assisting with budget preparation, and reconciling general ledger accounts. This role also involves preparing year-end audit reports and schedules, managing full-cycle Accounts Payable (A/P) functions, and coordinating Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) disbursements. The Accountant II acts as a liaison for disbursement-related activities with agency staff, vendors, contractors, and external partners while also providing backup support for payroll operations. Additionally, the role includes conducting financial analysis, developing internal controls, and interpreting Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) guidelines.

Housing Programs Specialist II

Under direction, the Custodian performs routine manual cleaning tasks in public buildings, schools, other facilities, and surrounding areas.

The Santa Clara County Housing Authority (SCCHA) is seeking a Risk Analyst to join our highly collaborative and dedicated team in advancing the Housing Authority’s risk management and insurance programs.
