• Producing and publishing the County’s $4.8 billion budget.

CEO Analysts play a pivotal role in aligning the County's vision with the daily management and operations of its programs and services.

Recent initiatives led by CEO Analysts include developing and implementing a new allocation process for Measure K funds, creating the Children, Youth, and Family Budget, and establishing an annual training program for County Fiscal Officers, among others.

Ideal Candidate

The Position & Responsibilities

The Executive Assistant to the City Manager is a critical position in the City Manager’s Office. Examples of responsibilities include the following:
• Maintain executive's appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel.
• Conserve executive's time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting/proofing letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information.
• Maintain confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
• Prepare reports by collecting and analyzing information; Assist in development and preparation of staff reports for submittal to the City Manager or City Council; develop PowerPoint presentations.
• Compile staff reports for quality assurance and completeness.
• Provide historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems, including maintaining records and files for administrative activities in the City Manager’s Office.
• Maintain office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; evaluating new office products; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; monitoring/controlling expenditures.
• Prepare or process various documents using a variety of computer and desktop publishing software and applicable to assignment.
• Interpret and explain City and department policies, rules, and regulations in response to inquiries.
• Communicate effectively and provide support to City Councilmembers.

The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office is seeking well-qualified candidates for the position of Criminal Records Supervisor.

The Position

Under direction of the Criminal Records Manager, the incumbent will supervise the maintenance of criminal records and related activities in the Sheriff's Records Bureau and provide difficult or specialized criminal records office support. There are four supervisors within the Records Bureau that oversee staff on: day shifts, swing shifts, night shifts, and at substations.

There is currently one full-time Criminal Records Supervisor vacancy in the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office. The individual selected for this position will be assigned to the graveyard/night shift. The approximate working hours for the graveyard shift are 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.; however, schedules in the Criminal Records Bureau are flexible and can be changed depending upon the needs of the Sheriff’s Office.

The Position

The City of Fremont, Human Services Department - Billing Unit is looking looking for candidates who are eager and interested to learn and grow their finance and billing skills and be part of a dynamic customer service oriented team. Under direct supervision of the Management Analyst II, the Human Services Billing Unit Accounting Specialist I will work as part of a billing team and also across the various department divisions. This position is responsible for assisting in the billing process of our Medi-Cal programs through the use of our new electronic health record system and other county, state and

funder based billing systems. Our department provides an array of counseling and case management services to children, youth, seniors and families across the Tri-City area. The Billing Unit is tasked with ensuring that our services are billed to the appropriate sources. The Position

The Multipurpose Senior Service Program (MSSP) Case Manager will perform professional and clinical social work tasks and duties for older adults living with complex medical conditions to assist them to obtain optimum health, financial, and/or social services. As a member of the Human Services Department, this position reports to a Clinical Supervisor in the Aging and Family Services Division.

Under guidelines provided by the State of California, the MSSP Case Manager provides case management to frail seniors who are MediCal eligible and 65 years of age and older, to support them to live in their own home. This position joins a multi-disciplinary team of a social worker and a nurse and will perform case management functions in the cities of Fremont, Newark, Union City and Hayward. This position requires driving to conduct community visits, including visits to client homes and medical facilities. Participants in the MSSP program have significant medical and/or caregiving deficits and are at risk of further deterioration and/or institutionalization. The Case Manager will evaluate clients for medical appropriateness (RN only), conduct assessments (health and/or psychosocial), formulate detailed care plans, access/advocate for services, and monitor client care. The program serves a diverse client population, and the candidate must feel comfortable working with monolingual non-English speaking clients and/or through interpreters.

This is a regular, part-time position (32 hours/week) and will receive pro-rated benefits.

- Manage a caseload of 28-32 clients comprised of older individuals with complex medical conditions.

The City of Patterson is currently recruiting to fill one (1) part-time vacancy for Recreation Coordinator I with the Recreation & Community Services Department and to establish an eligibility list.

The Position 

Silicon Valley Power (SVP) is seeking a dynamic, engaging, and highly qualified professional for one (1) management position of Principal Electric Utility Engineer in our Utility Operations Division. 

 

The position in Utility Operations will be responsible for managing and performing work related to Protection Engineering, Communications Engineering, and Operations Support Engineering (Fault and Outage analysis) along with supporting operations, maintenance and regulatory compliance of electric utility transmission, distribution and generation facilities.  This position manages the team responsible for Communications Engineering, Protection Engineering and Operations Support Engineering.

• Direct or conduct studies and analysis related to the reliability of the electric system to ensure compliance with appropriate Federal Energy Regulatory Commission/North American Electric Reliability Corporation (FERC/NERC) and industry reliability standards
• Prepare or direct the preparation of purchase specifications required to implement Electric Utility Department purchases in connection with system expansion and improvements
• Conduct evaluation of new equipment, methods and materials pertinent to the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the electric system, and make recommendations to appropriate Managers
• Confer with and assist in the development of long-range plans, goals and objectives, and budgets
• Manage, schedule and evaluate the work assigned staff, and develop processes designed to support a continuous learning environment
• Analyze assigned work area to determine the most efficient and effective assignment of staff
• Make specialized technical studies and/or investigations
• Prepare complete and comprehensive oral and written reports and make recommendations on engineering and related issues
• Prepare the budget, recommend allocation funds within guidelines; monitor expenditures to ensure adherence to the approved budget, manage contractual services
• Administer and assist in the staffing, administrative and financial matters of the department
• May act as the Assistant Director of Electric Utility in his/her absence

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in electrical, mechanical, civil or other related field of engineering
• Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in electric utility engineering work
• Candidates from a non-accredited college or university must demonstrate educational equivalency by registration as a professional electrical, mechanical or civil engineer in the State of California

Possible Substitutions:
 

• A Master's Degree in electrical, mechanical or civil engineering, or business or public administration from an accredited college may be substituted for one year of experience

REGISTRATION:
 

• Possession of a certificate of registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of California is required

LICENSE(S):
 

• Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license is required at the time of appointment and for duration of employment

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
 

• Must be able to perform all of the essential functions of the job assignment

• Use computer applications to prepare memos and procedural documentation
• Create, manage and maintain complex filing and record systems
• Walk or stand for extended periods of time and bend, stoop, crawl, climb, lift or any other physical requirement as necessitated by the position to perform assigned duties
