The Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) Division of San Mateo County Health is seeking a Clinical Services Manager I/II- Adult Licensed Facilities and Utilization Management to plan, coordinate, implement and oversee comprehensive countywide mental health programs, including a county-operated utilization management program for contracted mental health facilities (e.g. inpatient psychiatric programs, locked skilled nursing facilities, mental health rehabilitation centers, residential social rehabilitation and treatment facilities, and licensed board and cares). Program services include service authorizations, assessments, treatment and discharge planning, case management, medication management, mental health treatment and therapy, crisis intervention and stabilization services, care coordination, support groups, and related residential, rehabilitation, wellness and recovery services for adults and older adults with serious mental illness within an adult specialty mental health system of care.

This individual will also recommend, develop, implement and evaluate goals, objectives, policies and procedures related to contracted mental health facility services; oversee utilization management and service authorization of licensed facility services for individual consumers; oversee county-operated mental health services to support clients in out-of-county facilities; provide leadership and coordinate with community groups, public and private agencies, mental health consumers and family members, and volunteers in planning and implementing programs; maintain an effective working relationship with a variety of public and private organizations, including other County departments and agencies, advocacy groups, and client organizations; consult with other managers on relevant program issues; develop alternative strategies for dealing with community mental health needs and assist in the implementation of solutions as necessary; contribute to Request for Proposal development, participate in selection and monitoring oversight of contracted service providers; prepare, administer and monitor the program budget to ensure the accomplishment of program and service objectives within budget restrictions; conduct targeted focus groups with clients, family members, service providers, and other relevant community stakeholders at least annually to obtain feedback/input on needs/concerns/gaps in assigned program and service areas; provide highly complex staff support to senior level management, related commissions and advisory boards on program issues within assigned area of specialization; and select, supervise, train and evaluate clinical, professional, technical and clerical subordinates.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be experienced in providing leadership and participating in planning and implementing organizational change and performance improvement that is supported by best, promising and community supported practices
• Have a knowledge of system of care issues as they relate to adult and older adult services
• Be adept at developing relationships with community members and community service providers to reach shared goals and foster engagement

• Have experience developing and implementing program goals, objectives, policies and priorities; conducting or participating in the preparation of requests for proposals and contract negotiation with outside vendors, consultants or organizations; and administering and monitoring the program budget and performance outcomes
• Possess strong oral and written communication skills, analytical capability and data analysis skills

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification :

• Requires possession of a clinical license in psychology, social work, nursing, marriage and family therapy or the equivalent.

Education and Experience :

• Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is:

Clinical Services Manager I – Mental Health: Two years of experience in a mental health or related health services program that included responsibility for program planning, client services, program evaluation, budget administration, or community resource coordination, of which at least one year included responsible supervisory experience.

Clinical Services Manager II – Mental Health: Three years of increasingly responsible experience in a mental health or related health services program, including at least two years of significant responsibility for one or more of the following: program and budget development, funding, utilization, coordination of community resources or program evaluation.

This City's Building Division provides oversight and assistance towards the City's growth and development in relation to construction activity on private property within the City . The Division is seeking applicants for the Division Manager classification within the Building Inspection section. This is a full-time position and is responsible for the supervision and mentorship of a team of Building Inspectors performing field inspections , plan review s , and over-the-counter review s , as well as the Development Services Support Services (call center) team. What You’ll Do

The Assistant Planner/Associate Planner performs professional level work in the field of current planning and/or advance planning to promote the City’s Mission and Values. The current vacancy may be filled at either level based on experience.

Assistant Planner - is the entry level class in the professional planning series and is distinguished from the Associate Planner by the performance of less complex tasks and duties in the fields of current or advance planning, which require the application of fundamental planning principles. Assignments are generally limited in scope and within the design and procedural framework established by higher level employees. However, as experience is acquired, the employee performs with increasing independence. Since this class is typically used as a continued training class, employees may have only limited work experience.

Associate Planner - is the journey level class in the professional planning series and employees within this class are distinguished from the Assistant Planner by the performance of the full range of duties as assigned, which require the application of professional knowledge and skills to various municipal planning, zoning, and environmental problems and the preparation of specific reports and plans. The position provides opportunity for independent judgment in planning work details and making technical determinations. Work in this class is distinguished from that of Assistant Planner by the greater complexity of assignments including preparing zoning code and general plan amendment studies, and by the greater independence with which the incumbent is expected to operate. Employees at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise, and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit. Bocce Referee
As a Sausalito Parks and Recreation Bocce Referee, you are responsible for set-up, management, and cleanup of scheduled Bocce matches. You are the enforcer of rules, an impartial judge, and an advocate for fun and fair play. The ideal candidate will maintain a positive attitude and provide a friendly environment when communicating with teams and keeping score. This position reports directly to the Recreation Supervisor.   The ideal candidate must meet all minimum requirements as listed below and be confident and capable of dealing with conflict and intense games.  

Event Staff

As a Sausalito Parks and Recreation Event Staff member, you are responsible for actively participating in set-up, cleanup, and management of your assigned event.  You must arrive on time and remain until the event leader release you after the event.   Event staff may set up chairs, tables, stages, corridors, and barriers.  You may be asked to perform traffic control or direct drivers to parking.   The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, smile often, meet all of the minimum requirements below, remain calm under pressure and in the face of adversity, be cheerful, and love the diversity of people.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for an individual to serve as a Bilingual Clinical Therapist I/II for the Adult Outpatient Program (AOP). The City of San Bruno Community Services Department is seeking a Recreation Coordinator to coordinate the planning, organizing, coordination, and administration of community recreation programs for age 50-plus adults under the supervision of a Recreation Services Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for professional recreation duties, encompassing the planning, organization, coordination, and supervision of programs at the San Bruno Senior Center. We are seeking candidates with substantial experience in recreation programs related to the aging community.

General Programming:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at the forthcoming state-of-the-art aquatic and recreation facility set to open in Summer 2024. The brand-new 49,360 sq ft facility will feature indoor and outdoor lap pools, a zero-entry wading pool, fitness amenities, a gymnasium, a walking track, and ample space for programming and rentals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for professional recreation duties, encompassing the planning, organization, coordination, and supervision of recreational programs at the facility.  Candidates with experience in fitness, aquatics, and general recreation programs are desired.

In addition to graduation from a four-year accredited college or university with major coursework in recreation, physical education, social work, gerontology, public administration or another closely related field of study – the candidate will also have two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in the development and coordination of programs, services, activities and events are required. Experience in recreation programs with the public is highly desirable.

The Behavioral Health Clinician I/II performs a variety of professional duties in the provision of outpatient and crisis behavioral health services to individuals and groups. This person will work with complex casework which may include clinics, criminal justice, adult services, youth and family services, and other mental health settings where they may be asked to  respond to crisis situations, work with case managers and psychiatrists in treatment teams and be familiar with various treatment modalities to ensure clients are in appropriate treatment services. • Performs client intake procedures.
