The City of San José Information Technology Department (ITD) seeks a Cybersecurity Analyst (Enterprise Supervising Technology Analyst) to support new and existing initiatives in the Cybersecurity Office. The position will focus on Risk Mitigation as well as Identity & Access Management with exposure and support on all aspects of the Cybersecurity practice, including cross-support.

The ideal candidate will be part of one of the largest, most innovative communities in the nation. Led by the City Information Security Officer (CISO), the Cybersecurity Analyst will implement and manage information and system security programs across the City that keep municipal services secure and resilient. The Cybersecurity Analysts will support the CISO and the City by administering risk identification, protection and compliance, threat detection, incident response, and recovery services for all City departments to achieve business resilience.

The City of San José requires Cybersecurity Analysts to be highly skilled and adapt quickly to deal with emerging challenges. • Identifying and mitigating threats utilizing existing technologies. Working with other teams to mitigate identified vulnerabilities from identification to closure. Tracking and reporting mitigation efforts. Be familiar with the Plan of Action and Milestones in tracking, remediating, socializing, and getting them to completion.
• Working with other teams preparing, detecting, eradicating, and restoring operations in the event of incidents.
• Managing Plan of Action and Milestones for existing vulnerabilities
• Working with relevant teams to ensure the restoration of systems and technologies in accordance with policy and based on business group needs.
• Interfacing with the Virtual Security Operations Center (V-SOC) and using deployed tools and services to ensure system and network monitoring is taking place in accordance with defined service levels, contracts, and established standards.
• This role requires flexibility and adaptability to meet the Security needs of the ITD. The individual must be able to support other areas of expertise within the security domain, such as but not limited to NIST Cybersecurity Framework implementation, Identity Access Management, Risk Management & Compliance, Risk Assessments, Training, Audit Support, and others.

Please note that the Cybersecurity Analyst (Enterprise Supervising Technology Analyst) position is currently eligible for a hybrid telework schedule. The schedule for working remotely and onsite is subject to change.

Salary Information: The final candidate's qualifications and experience shall determine the actual salary. In addition to the starting salary, employees in the Enterprise Supervising Technology Analyst (ESTA) classification shall also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay.

• Salary Range (including the 5% NPWI): $141,697.92 - $172,645.20

The ESTA classification is represented by the City Association of Management Personnel (CAMP) bargaining unit.

THE POSITION

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is currently hiring to fill two (2) full-time vacancies for the position of Clinical Therapist I/II within the Mobile Crisis Care Program (MCCP). Tri-City’s MCCP is a 24/7 mobile crisis response team with shifts that may include evenings, weekends, daytime hours, and holidays. Weekend and night shifts will be entitled to Shift Differential Pay of $2.50 per hour on weekdays (Monday through Friday) and $3.50 per hour on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Holiday shifts will be entitled to Holiday Pay.

• Perform field-based and telephone emergency mental health evaluations and crisis stabilization in accordance with agency procedure;

 

• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services to individuals, groups, and families;

 

• Identify treatment needs and make appropriate referrals for necessary services;

 

• Assist clients and relatives with understanding behavioral health problems and their reaction to them;

 

• Work on a multidisciplinary team for crisis response.

Real Property/Engineering & Construction (shared)

In Real Property you will assist with title/escrow transactions, recording documents, database management, and interfacing with the Counties on real estate matters.

In Engineering & Construction, work will include working with project managers and staff on projects that will provide public access and protect some of our most precious and threatened open space resources. About the Position:  The incumbent will be a part of a cohesive team of 13 in the Information Systems and Technology Department. Work Environment:  This position is part of Administrative Services at Midpen’s office in Los Altos, California and reports to the IT Program Administrator.  The focus is on in-person support to our internal customers and therefore this position will work fully onsite, Monday through Friday and occasional evenings to support in-person public meetings The selected individual may work a 9/80 schedule depending on staffing levels and operational needs. The Department of Public Works is currently seeking to fill a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist I/II position within the Enterprise GIS team. This position is responsible for providing GIS support to the Department of Planning, Building, and Code Enforcement (PBCE).

Salary range(s) for this classification is /are:

 

• Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist I: $ 7 7,466.48 - $ 94,370.64
• Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist II: $9 4,632.72 - $ 115,293.36

The Enterprise GIS team operates out of the Department of Public Works but works across the city to coordinate GIS efforts, lead multi-departmental GIS projects, geospatially-enable City business systems, administer Enterprise GIS infrastructure for citywide use , and provide GIS support for various City departments and programs . The GIS Specialist I/II is a data focused position that is responsible for creating, maintaining , and ensuring the integrity of enterprise GIS datasets in support of the Department of Planning, Building, and Code Enforcement (PBCE), as well as providing ongoing support for PBCE GIS projects and applications. The position requires a commitment to building and maintaining quality GIS data, strong cartographic design skills, good attention to detail and customer service , and proficiency with ArcGIS software .

Under the direction of a senior team member, the GIS Specialist I/II will maintain GIS datasets and interface with planners to identify and address mapping and geospatial analysis needs . Key responsibilities and duties may include but are not limited to the following:

 

• Produce, analyze , and present geographic information utilizing ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online/Portal, and/or related software.
• Create and maintain enterprise GIS datasets using standard spatial editing tools and versioning. Interpret resources such as assessor's maps, discrepancy reports, Council-approved ordinances and resolutions, memorandums, and third-party data sources to enter graphic and attribute data into GIS while maintaining data integrity.

 

• Perform quality assurance checks on GIS data.
• Produce high-quality print and web maps, demonstrating good design skills and sound cartographic principles.
• Use SQL queries to produce reports on data management work.
• Use ETL (extract, transform, and load), Model Builder, or scripting tools to design and create GIS processes.
• Develop workflows and documentation for various GIS tasks.
• Fulfill requests for GIS data, analysis, maps, or reports using appropriate GIS tools and following City protocol.
• Provide support for departmental GIS users, including workflow automation, data conversion, map production, training, analysis support, and troubleshooting issues.

The County of San Mateo's Information Services Department seeks an IS Systems Specialist III to serve in the Security Division. Under general supervision, the individual in this position performs the most complex and varied technical tasks related to the configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and monitoring of the County's security infrastructure. This position serves as a technical leader and technical subject matter expert in specific security area(s) and is called upon to analyze existing and future computing environments and ensure that all solutions comply with County policy, frameworks and industry accepted best practices.

 

As an integral part of the Security team, the IS System Specialist III will be responsible for system administration across a variety of platforms and services such as: Firewalls (Palo Alto); Intrusion Detection and Prevention (Palo Alto Threat Prevention and Wildfire); Endpoint Protection Suite/XDR; Security Orchestration Platform (XSOAR); Cloud Security services; XDR SIEM monitoring and management; Vulnerability identification and mitigation/remediation.

 

The position also requires support in ancillary systems that support IAM/ARM platforms such as SolarWinds, Active Directory, OKTA. Additionally, this position will perform intrusion event investigative and reporting activities as required. Similarly, incumbents in this class must regularly analyze requests for new system implementations and ensure that strategies are applied that support best practice security design and integration with existing security infrastructure. Furthermore, this position will be tasked with performing analysis and data production and reporting in support of any identified indicators of compromise, audit and policy compliance across the enterprise.

 

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:

Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in management information systems, computer science, or a related field and four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in supporting and implementing information technology infrastructure and/or server administration and specific to the specialty area assigned which includes data center management, IT facilities management, storage and backup, server management and server operating systems, and/or configuration management and event management. Additional related experience may substitute for education requirement on a year-for-year basis, up to four (4) years.

The Clinical Therapist will report to a Clinical Supervisor.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Provides individual, group, and family interventions, rehabilitation, and treatment services including counseling, therapy, case management, and referral and linkage to community services to a variety of clients including high acuity clients.

 

• Within scope of authority, assesses, diagnoses, and treats a variety of clients with mental health disorders; collaborates with clients and creates individualized treatments plans according to client’s needs and circumstances.

 

• Initiates and conducts individual, group, and family counseling and biopsychosocial therapy sessions utilizing a variety of techniques and modalities; provides case management services in the office and in the field.

 

• Performs routine and emergency intake evaluations according to Authority procedure; completes appropriate forms and documents relating to the intake process; and prepares medical and demographic case history for use in diagnosis.

 

• Assists clients and family members in understanding behavioral health diagnosis, contributing factors/causes, effects, prognosis, rehabilitation, and treatment.

 

• Works with clients to address stressors and barriers to treatment and/or social functioning; identifies and focuses on client strengths and personal resources to effectively engage and treat client.

 

The Information Technology Analyst is responsible for performing a variety of duties in support of information technology operations including researching, configuring, installing, operating, monitoring, repairing, and maintaining hardware and software for computer workstations, mobile computers, mobile phones, telephone systems, and other related equipment and programs. Duties include:

• Maintaining and updating integrated systems; designing and implementing enhancements and revised functions developing various integrated solutions for database functions; documenting system changes.

• Installing, configuring, upgrading, troubleshooting, and repairing personal computers, laptops, mobile computers, computer components, software, and peripheral devices; maintaining, installing, and upgrading file servers and other network hardware.

• Providing information system user support; responding to questions and inquiries on various hardware and software issues; investigating user problems; identifying source of problem; determining possible solutions and implementing and testing solutions.

• Testing, diagnosing, and repairing computer systems and peripheral equipment including printers, modems, and network devices; troubleshooting equipment to ensure functional operation.

• Evaluating new hardware, software and related equipment to identify modifications and enhancements for assigned systems.

• Assuring functionality, compatibility and stability of assigned systems; monitoring resources, updating and upgrading the software and operating system, and resolving downtime and connectivity issues.

• Maintaining and updating internet site; creating web pages and developing basic intranet and internet upgrades and solutions; analyzing website use and recommends solutions.

• Installing configuring and troubleshooting hardware and software applications and equipment.

• Assisting in the maintenance of telephone systems; completing moves, adds, and changes; diagnosing and resolving phone system issues.

• Testing and troubleshooting local area networks (LAN) as necessary.

• Assisting in developing training or conducts training in computer systems and software as needed.
